The Empire of Kara (Chinese Script: 帝国 楠 大沽雅锣鼓, Latinisation; Diguo nanh Takuyarogu), commonly referred to as simply “Kara”, is a constitutional monarchy situated in the Karan peninsula.

Inhabited as early as the late Paleolithic, various genetic evidence has led to the general consensus that the people who currently inhabit Kara are descended from second-wave migrants from pre-Chinese Taiwan. Its pre-modern era history was characterised by foreign influence, primarily from Imperial China, Korea, Japan, and to a lesser extent, India. In the seventeenth century it entered a period of harsh isolation which resulted in its declining global influence. Its last dynasty was overthrown by a pro-Wa puppet regime, and after the mentioned was defeat in the Wa—Jušen war, it was occupied by the latter before receiving independence on June 18th 1933. Damaged by the Kara Civil War (1935—1938), it has rapidly re-emerged in the international geopolitical scene.

Currently, it is a developed, technologically advanced society with the third highest Human Development Index (HDI), with a score of .919, which is considered “very high” (defined as scores >0.8). Globally, it ranks highly in ease of doing business, job security, education, and quality of healthcare. Its total GDP, estimated to be worth $9 trillion, is the third largest. It alone compromises nearly 20% of the world’s total economic output. As a result of its export-driven growth model, it has the second highest trade commodity volume, exceeding $4 trillion. It’s one of the most militarised states with the word’s third highest military expenditure. It is also a recognised nuclear power. A member of numerous international organisations, it is regarded to be a great power, a major regional power, and perhaps a potential superpower.
