Backstory[]

1909-1911[]

Taft is killed by a heart attack (because he was fat lol), with Sherman taking the Presidency, he bumbles around trying to continue Taft's projects. Seeing the failures of the Republicans, many Americans begin to align with the Socialist and Democrat Parties, before the Return of Theodore Roosevelt. Roosevelt, upon return, openly attacks the Sherman administration before announcing his plans to run under the banner of the Progressive Party. Sherman, a weaker leader than Taft,  can not gather the same support Taft did IOTL, and many Republicans begin to support Roosevelt over Sherman

1912-1916[]

Roosevelt wins election for a third term, despite an assassination attempt. The Socialists fared far better than OTL, being able to win the vote in Nebraska. Roosevelt re-adopts his "Gun Barrel Diplomacy", and continues to advance the nation's industry and military. Meanwhile, in Europe, hostilities continue to rise as wars rage on in the Baltic. In 1914, The Heir to the Austrian throne is killed, leading Austria to declare war on Serbia. Various factors lead to the Great War, with every Major European power involved. While Roosevelt does not get directly involved, he does establish trade deals with the warring powers, increasing his popularity as demand for American Agriculture and Industrial goods grow. As a result, Roosevelt Sweeps the 1916 election, with both the Socialists and the Republicans failing to secure one between the two. After this election, the Republican party is mostly absorbed by the Progressive Party.

1917-1919[]

The Central Powers, looking for an edge over the Allied Forces, issue the Zimmerman Telegraph to Mexico. When the Telegraph is intercepted by Allied Intelligence, Roosevelt is furious, and declares Germany to be in violation of the Roosevelt Corollary and the Monroe Doctrine. American Troops are ordered to pour troops into Mexico, and the US enters the war on the side of the Allied Powers. Within 6 months, American forces capture Mexico City, and Mexico is placed under occupation by the US. Meanwhile in Europe, increased American aid leads to the end of the war and the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. The US keeps Mexico in a political limbo, a state between annexation and occupation. Despite the war, Roosevelt's popularity remained high, and he would be the front runner of the 1920 election.

1920-1924[]

Despite the fact that Roosevelt did not contract several diseases in the Amazons (like in OTL), Roosevelt was growing old and tired. Roosevelt won re-election again in 1920, and continued to oversee Economic prosperity and growth in the US. Many radical groups, including the Socialist Party, saw Roosevelt's fourth term as tyrannical, and lobbied for his removal from office. Meanwhile, rumors of a planned revolution in Mexico surfaced. Roosevelt also begins to lose popularity in the Midwest, as the Agricultural sector begins to break down with the end of the war.

1924-1928[]

Roosevelt begins to show more signs of old age, though once again wins the presidency. This proves to be the final straw for many radical Americans, who begin to riot against Roosevelt. Meanwhile, the agricultural sector completely breaks down, with many farmers beginning to support radical parties such as the socialist party. Many of the Riots across the US are put down, and the tensions fail to reach the industrial centers. Meanwhile, the Occupation of Mexico continues.

Towards the end of his 5th Term, Roosevelt dies of old age, and Herbert Hoover takes the Presidency.

1929-1930[]

The stock market crashes in late 1929, with many blaming Hoover for the crash. The crash destabilizes the American, and quickly the Global economy. This further destabilizes the US, with radical groups growing faster than ever seen before. Communists, Socialists and Fascists see themselves make rapid gains in American politics. With the stability of the US rapidly failing, the Military occupation of Mexico collapses, with many American soldiers deserting.

1931[]

Mexico falls into full scale civil war, as no clear government exists following the collapse of the American Military occupation. Herbert Hoover is Assassinated. The Vice President takes office. The damage is done however. Adding the Assassination of the President to the Great Depression proved too much for many to handle. the First wave of states secede from the Union, and the government is too weak to stop them. The First wave includes: Illinois, Delaware, South Carolina, New York, and California

1932[]

Over the course of the year, more and more states leave the collapsing Union. In December, the US officially dissolves, with the last 5 states leaving the Union. (Texas, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Maryland).

The Game[]

1933[]

Note to players who have changed their nation/signed up at the last minute: The Map was Finished Last night, meaning that you will NOT be added until the second map in 1935.

The Game Begins now.

SSSND 1933

Dust storms in the pickup in the midwest, becoming more numerous than before. The long term effects of these storms remain unclear. The storms devastate farmland in the midwest.

Hitler takes power in Germany.

All political figures who have not done so already have returned to their home states or died in the violence.

Infra turn for NPCs

Note to all returning players (Spar): Someone's actions/performence in the previous games is not a reason to build an alliance against them.

  • Indiana: Indiana builds up its military. Paul V. McNutt is elected as President while M. Clifford Townsend is elected as Prime Minister. The country begins to follow a policy of neutrality.
  • Michigan declares independence as a federal republic. However, a group known as the United Fascists of Michigan, or UFM, stages a coup, putting Lewis Schoolcraft in power. He begins removing all political opposition. However, a new Federal Michigan Republic establishes itself in Flint, lead by Austin Hall, and begins leading a rebellion against the UFM, with the goal of crushing them, and retaking Lansing. The area east of Flint is under the control of Federal Michigan, while the Upper Peninsula is a hotbed of guerrilla warfare. Civil war has begun in Michigan. The Federal Army takes Detroit, and is able to push on Jackson, taking it, and opening up the flank of the UFM. Troops and tanks from the Bay City area mount an offensive on Mt. Pleasant, creating a bulge around Lansing. A three pronged assault capture the city after a month of heavy fighting, and the UFM is disbanded, ending the civil war after a mere three months. However, the Upper Peninsula attempts to declare independence, but it is put down. Austin Hall is the new President of the Federal Republic of Michigan, and begins rebuilding from the civil war. The Army stands at about 10,000 men, with numerous tanker crews, and aircraft pilots. Production begins a new wave of tanks, while the navy sees some improvement, with gunboats being constructed to patrol the waters. An alliance is requested with Illinois and Ohio, as Michigan is (secretly) fearful of what conflict between the two may bring.
    • No making alliances between the three largest nations in a region without reason. A Non-Aggression pact is fine, or an alliance with one or the other. But not both. Also keep production levels low for now. Everyone is still in the Great Depression, especially since you just fought two wars in your home nation, you aren't going to be able to produce everything. Also these civil wars do hurt you still.
    • Well, the Superior one less so, and I am just trying to ensure neutrality.
    • Spar that is not an excuse. Neutrality =/= alliance
  • Illinois: following the collapse of the U.S. government, Illinois sets up both local and state wide elections. The current system in use is comparable to the system of the former US, but with additions that will allow it to function better on a smaller scale. The Illinois State Militia (ISM) is formed, and currently stands at 40,000 total men, but with only 15,000 on active duty. Plans to increase this number begin, and it is expected the army will gain 10,000 more men by next year.
  • Texas Republic: Following our secession as the last state to leave the union, we declare ourselves a democratic republic. Miriam A. Ferguson is elected as our first President, while Dan Moody becomes Prime Minister. We begin to build up our military against the growing Mexican menace to the south. It currently stands at 35,000 men. We attempt to begin negotiations with Oklahoma to create a peaceful "Union of the South". Ferguson begins her "Golden Deal", promising an economic end to the Dust Bowl by providing people with crops grown by the rivers. Many people immediately volunteer to become farmers at these new creek towns, and become known as the "Desert Gardeners".
    • MOD RESPONSE (RNG USED, 3, rejected): Oklahoma rejects
  • North Carolina: Governor John C. B. Ehringhaus is elected and replaces the former Governor Oliver Max Gardner. The Governor also proposes a peaceful union between the two former states to South Carolina. A non-aggression pact is also sent to Virginia. Work is done on the economy and much is done to try to reduce the effects of the Great Depression. The North Carolinian Army is formed, with a current total of 10,000 troops.
    • MOD RESPONSE (RNG USED,6, accepted): South Carolina accepts.
    • Virginia agrees to an NAP, and proposes a trade agreement.
    • North Carolina: The offer of a trade agreement is accepted.
  • Commonwealth of Virginia: Virginia drafts a constitution, which is approved one month later. The constitution enables segregation, but not slavery. Richmond remains the capital of the Commonwealth. It is decided that the commonwealth will be divided into several districts, similar to US states, beginning with 13 districts drawn based on old county lines, with the city of Richmond counting as the federal property. Each district was named after a famous Virginians, being Washington, Madison, Monroe, Jefferson, Lee, etc. The government was a revised version of the United States system. Each district would have three senators, with one vote each. Richmond would have one senator, who would only vote in case of ties (if even number of districts or abstaining). There would also be the House of Delegates, with each delegate representing a specific district, and the number of delegates per district determined by the population of that district. There was next a President, elected by direct election of the people. The President had veto power on each bill, unless the house and senate could each override with 60% in favor. There was also the Supreme Court, acting the same way as in the USA. In the first Presidential election, the quickly formed Democratic, Republican, Progressive, Labor, Conservative, Communist, and Fascist parties were pitted against each other. As expected, Democratic candidate Claude A. Swanson becomes the first president of Virginia, with S. Otis Bland becoming the Vice President. The second place party, surprisingly, was not the Democratic Party (who had Menalcus Langford as their Presidential nominee), but the labor party, led by John L. Lewis, came in second. The Commonwealth is unstable, and there are a lot of political parties in the government, including some which call for a totalitarian ruler. President Swanson develops the new independent economy, and establishes trade with foreign countries as well as some other newly independent states on the Atlantic. Our main economic exports are coal, gold, milk, corn, and meat. President Swanson also forms the Virginia National Military, with the main branches being the Army, Navy, and air Force. Virginia clams many US vessels which were stationed in Virginia. The military is improved. The military currently stands at 12,000 men, but we have better equipment than a lot of states due to our military bases. Arlington National Cemetery becomes a major topic of debate in the country.
  • The Federal Republic of Michigan would like a trade agreement.
  • Virginia accepts.
  • Californian Federation: Military and economy. The former governor of California, James Rolph, becomes president. The government is led by the CPC (Conservative Party of California). Every month, a National Meeting is held between the political parties(full list will be on the page). Immediately, Rolph begins work on stabilizing California, and offers a peaceful union to Arizona. Los Angeles is declared capital of the Federation. Rolph installs a military law, stating that every man or woman of age 20 or older must engage in military training every 6 months, to ensure the country has a defense when it is needed. The Minister of Defense, Jose-Rico Jones, proposes the construction of 3 forts along the borders of the Federation. This is passed and the construction of these forts begins. Trade is offered to Oregon, Texas and Washington. The independence of Texas, Michigan, Virginia and New York is recognized by James Rolph, who states that they do not differ from the Federation in their goals. We watch the Dust Bowl with caution, unsure what will develop in the Midwest.
    • The Federal Republic of Michigan would like some aid in rebuilding from the civil war against the UFM, along with the possibility of a trade agreement.
    • Californian Dip: While we want to aid another state in need of help, we currently are not yet in shape to do so. We must stabilize first, but once we can, we will aid you.
    • You have the thanks of the Federal Republic of Michigan.
  • Provisional Georgia: Provisional Georgia is reformed into the Independent State of Georgia, with President Richard Russell, Jr. still president. The Georgia Party is formed, as well as the Conservative Party. Meanwhile, we try to improve our tier. In order to make our economy well, we farm and mass-produce Brunswick stew, fried chicken, cornbread, pecans, peaches, peanuts and grits. However, the Great Depression is still raging, therefore production rates are not well. Meanwhile, President Richard Russell, Jr. creates the Independent Georgia Defense Forces (IGDF), in which he creates four branches, the Independent Georgia Ground Army (IGGA), the Independent Georgia Navy (IGN), the Independent Georgia Air Force (IGAF), and the Independent Gerogia Marine Corps (IGMC). the IGDF begins getting many recruits, mainly in the IGGA and IGAF. We seek closer relations with our neighbours. The KKK gains popularity.
  • Ohio Federation declares independence as a federal republic. Surrounded by chaos in Michigan and nations the same size as Ohio; we declare our goal to unify the Union through all means possible. We change our flag to have all grey stars and stripes, representing the fragmentation of the Republic. While the rest of the former states in disagreement, Ohio slowly improves the economy and begin to form a national military based off the former Ohio National Guard and Militias. Hoping to restore the union, we offer Indiana an offer: Join the Federation or be invaded. We also offer New York an alliance, secretly plotting to divide Pennsylvania.
    • Indiana Diplomacy: Indiana declines at the moment, however, is willing to negotiate any other way to prevent a war, and even offers an alliance and if accepted, they will help Ohio in every of their wars.
    • The Federal Republic of Michigan will stand by Indiana in the event of war. 5,000 troops are deployed at the border, and several of the veterans from the civil war are called up, bring the military to 15,000.
    • Illinois declares that they will side with Ohio, in any conflict agenst Michigan, citing the instability of their government
    • Michigan has a relatively stable government now that the civil war is over. It should be noted that Ohio is trying to take the newly won independence of the American Nations.
    • We accept the offer for an Indianan alliance.
  • Washington: Washington state becomes a sovereign state following the collapse of the Union, under the Republic of Washington, during which governor Clarence D. Martin is elected President of the Republic of Washington, and with Victor A. Meyers is elected Vice President of the Republic as well. His first act as President of the Republic is to establish the Washington Armed Forces, composed of the Washington Army, the Washington Coast Guard and the Washington Navy (due to the nation's lack of major industrial capability during this period, there is no formal air force, or Marine Corps yet). Meanwhile, the Constitution of the Republic begins to allow for a maximum of 3 terms for the President, lasting each 5 years maximum, and allows for the formation of a new Congress in Washington. In economic news, the nation, already hit hard by the Great Depression, has an even worse situation due to the collapse of the US, which allows for the rise of the Socialist Party, promising to fix the economic situation. As a result, the Socialist Party begins to plan a military coup in secrety in order to dispose of President Martin. With this worsening situation in mind, President Martin begins to enact several economic acts which involve the enactment of several major projects to establish a national industry and reduction in excess spending. Unfortunately, without the US government to support with the "New Deal" act on OTL, progress on these projects effectively slow down, and thus do not bring enough jobs as they were supposed to in OTL. This as a result causes support to rise for the Socialists. Meanwhile, an extremist variant of the Socialists, dubbed the Washington People's Front (WPF) begins to form itself as a terrorist organization and launches many attacks against government buildings. The government as a result, is forced to retaliate against the WPF, and many key important facilities are placed on guard. In foreign policy news, the Republic of Washington plans to formally establish diplomatic relations with its neighbors, and thus requests to the governments Oregon, Idaho, California and Nevada to construct embassies in the region.
  • New York: The new nation improves its Military. Following the collapse of the former US, the nation of New York seeks to establish relations with Ohio and Massachusetts. The Nation seeks to check Pennsylvania, seeing them as the biggest threat. Factories are re-purposed to produce weapons, ammo, tanks, and other weapons for war. The New Government is set to hold elections next year, after which a constitution will be drafted and the nation officially established. For the time being, the nation is run by the Governor.
    • Michigan would like New York to reconsider its policy with Ohio, citing their aggression towards Indiana.
    • Ohio accepts to begin friendly relations with New York, hoping to establish an alliance in the following.

1934[]

Pennsylvania is hit by socialist revolts. Philadelphia is hit the hardest (-10 in the algo for all expansion into Pennsylvania).

Alaska experiences hostility with the USSR.

Dust Storms continue in Midwest States. More and more people flee the region, and the dust reaches as far as DC. (Nations in the Dust bowl will begin to drop in Tier).

Econ turn for NPCs.

  • Texas Republic: We attempt to put the refugees coming from other states into our military, and manage to bring it up from 35,000 to 40,000 by the end of the year. We ask New Mexico to help us create our "Union of the South" by unifying with us. President Ferguson puts people to work on the river towns, and tries to make deals with Virginia and California for trade, to help us get out of the Depression.
    • New Mexico Accepts.
  • Illinois Republic: we officially rename our country the Illinois Republic. Our first elections take place, with William Busing winning the election by a considerable margin. He supports the military heavily, and grants it a much larger budget. The military is also expanded by several thousand men. With tensions with Michigan Increasing, we begin to shift more of our troops onto active duty. Busing sends a Union offer to Wisconsin, saying a Union will benefit both our nations.
    • RNG RESULT:7. Wisconsin rejects.
  • In Iowa, control of the government is immediately seized by the Socialist Party, as thousands of enraged farmers force the resignation of the governor from before the collapse of the U.S. He is replaced by radical Socialist Norman Thomas. The People's Republic of Iowa is proclaimed, and massive wealth redistribution efforts begins to deflect the effects of the dust storms on farmers. Recruitment for a new People's Revolutionary Army begins, seeking to crate a force of 25,000, which is easily achieved. Weapons are seized from army bases in the region to supply the new force. The new government offers union to South Dakota and Nebraska, saying that midwestern states must work together to deflect the dust bowl. Socialists in both states agitate massively in favour.
    • (RNG USED, RESULT 2) South Dakota Accepts
    • (RNG USED, RESULT:5): Nebraska Rejects.
    • Iowa requests alliances with Wisconsin and Minnesota.
    • RNG USED FOR THE FOLLOWING:
    • Wisconsin rejects (9)
    • Minnesota rejects (5)
  • Rhode Island: Following the collapse of the United States, and Rhode Island’s independence from the union, an interim government is established. In late 1933 Theodore F. Green steps down as governor under pressure from lawlessness and a poor economy. A coup by the conservative republicans under Norman S. Case, acting as head of the national guard in Rhode Island, is launched that topples the government without major bloodshed. A constitutional monarchy is declared with Case being declared Norman I. Despite protests the national guard is used to keep the nation in line, leading to a smooth transition. Norman restructures the Rhode Island government, expanding the Rhode Island General Assembly, and establishing the Lieutenant Governor as an elected position as head of the assembly. Felix Hebert is appointed the first Lieutenant Governor. The Rhode Island Armed Forces is also created, from Republican elements of the former United States military and the Rhode Island National Guard. The 1st Military Police Brigade is created, exercising command and control over the a Military Police Battalion, and its three separate Military Police companies. In addition, the Brigade is attached to a Medium Truck Company. 1,000 hand picked men from the original Republican forces under the command of Case are formed into the Island Guard, a force directly under the king’s command for the purpose of defending the government and the capital. Conscription is passed in order to create a reserve force capable of defending the nation if needed. In total an estimated 260,000 men and women are believed to be capable of military service, and training begins of several thousand as part of a national guard force. Realizing that the nation is largely incapable of raising such a force, without the necessary infrastructure and training, work begins to improve the nation’s defenses. A defensive plan is created that will involve concrete restructuring of major cities, particularly around Providence, equip with artillery encampments and other equipment. A defensive structure known as Fort St. Joseph is planned and begins construction, north of Pawtucket, intended to defend the nation the nation from invasion from the north. A second installation, known as Fort Norman is planned in the south near Exeter. Both installations are expected to be completed in the next few years, and will become headquarters for Rhode Island land forces. The nation’s strongest military asset, its navy and naval infrastructure, is also reorganized. Former US navy and coast guard elements are gathered at Naval Station Newport, consisting of a number of destroyers, cruisers, and support ships. Ernest King is appointed head of all naval forces. The majority of these ships are decommissioned or deactivated, and King commissions construction of a new and expanded shipyard in Newport, capable of facilitating, constructing, and repairing larger ships. Despite this buildup of military capabilities for the nation’s defense, Norman I declares the nation’s intentions of being a non militaristic or expansionist state. An alliance is requested of the nation of Massachusetts. We also offer Massachusetts, in return for funding to help us complete our naval infrastructure expansion projects, the use of our shipyard and docks for the construction of their own ships. Norman I attempts to mirror the nation of European city states such as Monaco, in an effort to repair the nation’s growing economy. Banking institutions in Providence are expanded, attracting business from neighboring nations as a major banking center. The government also supports the creation of a gambling industry, with the creation of casinos in the capital city.
As our military grows as well as our economy, we station staggering amounts of troops on the border with Michigan in the case of invasion.
    • Iowa requests a mutual defence agreement with Ohio, with Michigan a mutual threat.
    • The Republic of Illinois asks for an alliance with Ohio, pointing out Michagan as a mutual threat.
    • Ohio accepts the request for an alliance, in addition to the mutual defence agreement with iowa.
  • Indiana: Indiana continues to build up its military. More roads are also built. Plans for a better highway system begins to be planned.
  • Washington: President Martin continues his economic policies, while simultaneously attempting to prevent any more WPF terrorist attacks. The projects under his administration continue, and begin to slowly recover the economy of Washington state, although this is barely noticeable, hence the reason why the Socialists continue to gain popular support. This year, the WPF decides to start a hostage situation in Seattle, in which Vice President Meyers is one of the hostages. While police units and military forces are able to secure the situation, the terrorists escape, and flee to Tacoma, where low-level fighting is already occurring in the region. Meanwhile, on July 19, 1934, a major coup explodes by a group of Socialist extremists, aided by the Washington Army, during which they are able to take control of Olympia, although President Martin flees to California. This day eventually becomes known as the Washington Revolution, which formally establishes the People's Republic of Washington, the 2nd Socialist nation in North America, behind Iowa. The WPF is eventually integrated into the Washington People's Army, adding the troop numbers to 19,120 to 20,000. The nation, as a result, decides to expand the projects previously in place by the Republic, but taking a more militant stance on the situation, as military factories begin opening across the nation. In foreign policy news, the People's Republic of Washington begins to provide funding to several major Socialist groups on Oregon in complete secrecy, and decides to even send some former WPF members to assist spreading Socialist values into the region. However, this is given a very low priority until the nation's economy rebuilds from the chaos of the Depression. Due to the current situation with California, and with their invasion of Oregon in progress, we begin building up our military on the other side of the Oregon-Washington border, and decide to rush factory construction in order to produce tanks, planes and other equipment. We decide to attempt to push for a ceasefire between the Socialist Militias and the Government of Oregon, as our government decides to enter the war on the side of Oregon, in order to prevent an expansionist nation from threatening both of our respective borders.
    • Iowa requests an alliance with Washington.
    • Californian Dip: We warn Washington that any expansion of their left-winged extremism will be faced with full on Californian resistance. We do not desire war, but will fight you if necessary.
    • Washington Diplomacy: We hereby accept the offer of the Iowan government, hoping that it will be useful in ensuring the equality of the masses.  As for California, we wish to know what they are talking about, as we have no desire to expand the nation in terms of territorial gain or military expansion, only economic expansion.
  • Federal Republic of Michigan: We demobilize some of the military, and instead begin focusing on the economy, hoping to recover from the depression. A non aggression pact is request with New York, and we ask Wisconsin to form a Federal States of America with us. (Mod response) Concerned by the rise of socialism in Iowa, Washington and to a lesser extent in Pennsylvania, we secretly propose an alliance with Illinois.
    • MOD RESPONSE: Wisconsin, having just rejected a similar offer, rejects this one as well.
    • the Republic of Illinois rejects Michigan's offer, stating that an alliance would be too cumbersome, and that tensions between the two nations are already too high.
  • Californian Federation: Military and economy. The former governor of California, James Rolph, becomes president. The government is led by the CPC (Conservative Party of California). Every month, a National Meeting is held between the political parties(full list will be on the page). Immediately, Rolph begins work on stabilizing California, and offers a peaceful union to Arizona(mods ples). Fort Zancudo (the southern one, near Route 66) finishes construction this year and is armed. Trade is offered to Oregon, Texas and Washington. The independence of Texas, Michigan, Virginia and New York is recognized by James Rolph, who states that they do not differ from the Federation in their goals. Construction of the navy begins. We launch an invasion of Oregon, to bring it into the stronger Californian sphere and make the state prosper, but secretly also to counter possible Washington influence/expansion. The war effort goes less good than planned, but we can still speak of success, mainly due to a particular discovery. While fighting Oregon, we encounter socialist militias, some of which are noticed to have gear from Washington, and some reports even describe flags of Washington on their clothes. This information is kept secret to anyone but the government, who see it as proof of Washington influencing socialist groups.
    • Washington Diplomacy: While we can accept the offer belonging to the Californian people, we will do it under the condition that former President Martin and his capitalist lackeys are returned to the government of Washington, whom are long overdue for an execution for their crimes against the people of Washington state.
    • (RNG USED, RESULT:1.) Arizona rejects.
    • Californian Dip: Martin is apprehended by the Californian police, but not yet sent to Washington. We will sent him to Washington, but on the condition that he will not be executed, and instead imprisoned.
    • Washington Diplomacy: While we are thankful for securing of former President Martin, the nation cannot simply risk leaving him alive.
    • Californian Dip: We can not send a man to his death to appease an extremist state. Thus, Martin is immediately released from captivity and given a Californian passport.
    • Washington Diplomacy: We hereby condemn the invasion of Oregon, seeing this an act of aggression against a sovereign state.
  • Independent State of Georgia: Many Communist and Socialist political parties are banned, and their members are arrested. However, this is not done to National Socialist and Fascist political parties, in order to please the KKK and Radical politicians. Meanwhile, President Richard Russell, Jr. makes attempts in order to bring the Independent State of Georgia from the Great Depression, production of food rises a bit. We ask for a non-aggression pact with Alabama (RNG or Mod Response). Military is improved as more people are recruited.
    • Michigan: offers refuge to any who are fleeing from the Fascists in Georgia.
  • Great Alaskan Republic: Alaska becomes a hub for rural, conservative men fleeing the chaos of the mainland. Militias patrolling some towns begin to lead a witchunt, which claims a few lives and ruins the reputations of others. George Alexander Parks wins the election, keeping his seat as now president of Alaska. Oil, found throughout Alaska, and gold, found near the Yukon, as well as consumer goods and furs continue to make the bulk of the nation's economic exports. Contact with the mainland is remade, offering trade to Washington and California.
    • Washington Diplomacy: Washington state hereby accepts the offer, despite your capitalistic tendencies and hostile relationship with the USSR.
    • Californian Dip: Accepted.
  • Allied States of America Improves its military and economy. The nations sees the establishment of a federal government, with a Constitution being drafted. An organized Military is formed, with 55,000 men and roughly 60 tanks. State Militias are slowly absorbed into the ASA Army. An Estimated 500,000 men are fit for military service, with another 100,000 reaching military age each year. The Navy is expanded to defend the Coast of the ASA. The air force takes a back seat to Naval and Army development. President Roosevelt passes several reforms in order to limit the effects of the depression. the Office of Price Administration is given the power to freeze price of industrial goods, agricultural goods, and housing. While unpopular with the Progressive Party, the OPA is effective at reducing inflation/deflation. Roosevelt also passes the Working Men's Act, forcing those over 18 who have no job or aren't in school to join the military. Roosevelt also promises to expand the nations industrial sector in order to create more jobs for the people of the nation. To create temporary jobs, Roosevelt begins construction programs to develop the cities of Albany and Buffalo. We request a merge with New Jersey to protect them from the threat of Pennsylvania. (MOD NEEDED). We also offer an alliance to Ohio, seeing them as the best way to preemptively stop Michigan or Pennsylvania's expansion.
    • Michigan wants nothing but good relations with New York, and will aid against Pennsylvania.
    • Indent your diplomacy ffs, also You wouldn't know about the purpose of the alliance.
    • RNG Result 2: New Jersey Accepts
    • Pennsylvania diplomacy: The governor of PA tells New York and Ohio the state of PA is in no move to expand. PA is more focused on rebuilding itself internally, and finding a way to fit into the international economy. In no way the state is in any move to launch any military action, and will burn precious artifacts of the former United States if military action is taken upon them.
  • Commonwealth of Virginia: With the Dust Bowl beginning to hit home, we ask for trade agreements with any country willing to sell us food. We also ask Alaska for a trade agreement, hoping to buy water. We improve our Economy. We ask West Virginia for a peaceful merger, and prepare our military for invasion if they don't agree. We also have a proposal to divide West Virginia into seven districts, making there twenty districts in the Commonwealth. We improve our military. We continue to debate how Arlington National Cemetery will be used by our government, which has broken off from the United States. We make a law which restricts the government from creating prohibition, ending prohibition in Virginia, and many people in other states come to Virginia to be able to drink. Within the military, we focus on the navy, as we have good relations with North Carolina and are stronger than our other border countries.
    • West Virginia Rejects
  • Free State of Louisiana: The state begins taking heavy priority of food and shelter of white families, and the government believes building many boarding halls would help so it is done. After independence we make both French and English our official languages. The gendarmarie is raised to keep stability but the military is generally in shambles. We begin focusing on making the economy rebound, and mercantile-esque system is developed to ensure the Louisiana exports more than it imports. Prohibition is strictly repealed.
    • Dip: We offer a union with Mississippi (request Arkansas is Mississippi declines; if either accept we become the Mississippi Confederation). We offer trade to Texas, as well as maritime trade with New York and Virginia. We use our Francophonic nature to expand ties and offer trade to France and Belgium.
    • ASA/New York Accepts
    • RNG Used for all of the Following
    • France accepts (4).
    • Belgium Rejects (3)
    • Mississippi has a player.
    • Arkansas (6): Accepts.
  • Alabama: The government begins to work on unifying the State Defense Forces with the Army National Guard. There, racism is still an issue, but the government continues the Jim Crow Laws, although they manage to obtain equal conditions for both blacks and whites in the cities. The nation begins to industrialize. Military bases are put under construction around the nation. The Air National Guard begins to militarize from the observation base it was previously to a combat role.
    • Alabama Dip: We propose unifying with Mississippi to strengthen our defense, as well as share our similar culture and brotherhood.
    • Mississippi has a player.
    • Yep, Found that out now!
  • Mississippi: The government of Mississippi invests heavily into the development of the state's infrastructure, seeking to increase the transport sector of the infrastructure to regional standards, as well as increase education spending. However, the defense budget is cut to accommodate this development, angering some politicians, but pleasing the populace who had long felt forgotten by their government. The general poverty in Mississippi is such that the government in Jackson looks to quickly industrialize the state to better compete with the more literate and wealthier states bordering them. To that end, thousands of teachers are hired from outside of Mississippi to assist within the education effort, while many industrialists from the north are invited to come to Mississippi to assist with providing jobs. Those businesses which chose to stay in Mississippi are grant tax breaks and lower interest rates on loans  as a reward for helping the state industrialize. Racial pressures continue to rise as the black population continues to suffer as lynchings, white mob attacks, and general discrimination force many blacks into hiding to avoid beatings, rapes, and murders at the hands of the white population. To protect themselves from white lynch mobs and the Ku Klan Klan, many African Americans form militia groups, which train in the swamps in the dead of night to protect their families and businesses. Because of the general danger posed against their families, many black husbands and fathers also bring their wives and children along to teach them how to use firearms and repair equip in the event that they are forced to fend for themselves if the KKK kills the father or husband in the family.
  • Pennsylvania expands its Military and Economy. The Socialist revolts are getting worse, with Socialists taking Philadelphia and continuing to to spread throughout the state.
  • Carolinian Republic: President John C. B. Ehringhaus looks forward to prosperous relations between our country and the Commonwealth of Virginia, and supports their endeavours in trying to unite their nation with West Virginia. The President continues to improve the economy and try to find ways to work against the Great Depression. He also tries to equip the army with the up to date equipment he has access to.

1935[]

The Refugee situation worsens as many flee to Texas, California, and Illinois on the infamous Route 66. Many of the people in these areas begin to call for an adoption of Nativist policies to keep the immigrants out of jobs. The Term “Okies” begins to refer to the refugees from the midwest, and Xenophobic principals begins to take hold in many states.  The Dust bowl continues to ruin the economies of the midwest. (-5 for California, Texas  or Illinois military action in the midwest) (-10 for military expansion in the midwest for every state)

An industrial fire in Albany destroys  a few factories.

Pennsylvania, seeing ASA expansion as a threat, seeks to contain the nation. Many high ranking politicians call for an invasion of Delaware to prevent ASA expansion south. (Player Choice)

Military Turn for NPCs

Don't know how or why, but my warning regarding peaceful unions was removed. Peaceful unions will be limited from here on out.

As our military grows as well as our economy, we declare war against Michigan as a pre-emptive strike, seeing as they wish to unite the Great Lakes Region. We call on Illinois, Indiana, and all of our other allies to join the coalition against Michigan and join this war.
  • The Republic of Illinois declares it will assist their allies in this war, and opens up a new front. 15,000 troops are sent.
  • Jesus Christ, calm your tits. I can don't that at all. You're all too strong for me to fight alone. I also want to point out my idea for a Federal States of America this time, not a GLU. So, I will surrender on the condition that you all just leave me alone, and I leave you alone. Deal, guys?
  • Michigan would like to seek a peaceful solution.
  • In Iowa, the economic situation continues to worsen as the Dust Bowl continues to take effect. South Dakota is unified with the nation, bringing the population to around 3 million. Premier Thomas successfully deflects popular anger from the Socialist government against the previous American government, which, he argues, caused the disaster through its over exploitation of farmers. Many of lock to join a new paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, which numbers around 50,000. the government uses popular anger to nationalize the assets of thousands of the largest companies, and welfare benefits rise drastically. Towards the end of the year, Montanan farmers shoot several Iowan refugees, in what becomes known as the Lincoln Massacre. Popular anger explodes, and local militias launch an unsanctioned invasion of Montana. The government decides to back them, and mobilizes the regular army and the disorganized Republican Guard to invade Montana (through the recently unified South Dakotan border). The unemployed and destitute seize the opportunity of the war to gain a living wage, and army numbers soar. The relatively unaffected farmland of Montana is seen as a possibility for national salvation. At the same time, Iowa requests union with the defenseless nation of North Dakota, offering the carrot of defence and protection, as well as funding to deflect the Dust Bowl, combined with the implicit threat of military action.
    • North Dakota: Rejects (7)
  • Washington: The People's Republic of Washington continues to invest on various projects, and the re-purposing of the factories to military production. We continue to send troops to fight California as they continue to push farther into Oregon. Meanwhile, the Washington Politburo decides to pass some new legislation regarding the construction of roads across the nation, and the increase in military spending on the recent budget. We begin to implement various public education programs across the nation, in order to provide more jobs, and increase literacy across Washington. Meanwhile, continued heavy losses by the WPA force the WPA Army Command to implement better training amongst our forces, and as a result, we begin to focus, as part of the military spending increase, on intense training for our military, and we do this in order to provide a better defense initiative against potential threats to the country. However, as part of the spending, conscription is officially permitted into our forces, as anyone between the ages of 18 and 21 is to join the military, in order to swell its numbers, effective as of April 19, 1935. As a result, this increases our troop numbers from 20,000 to 40,000 by the end of the year. This increase in troop numbers effectively causes our government to deploy more troops to the Oregon War, from the original 5,000 to 25,000. This means about 20,000 additional troops.
    • Californian Dip: We scold Washington for their hypocrisy, revealing to the entire former US that Washington had been funding extremist militia's in Oregon, with the goal of taking over the state later.
    • Washington Diplomacy: And under what basis or evidence can you prove that? If you are unable to prove it, just claiming it alone means nothing.
    • Californian Dip: We have proposed a treaty.
    • Washington Diplomacy: As of this day, the war is over, now thanks to the signing of the Treaty of Salem.
  • Republic of Illinois: With the growing number of refugees from the Midwest, several laws are implemented to regulate this. The most prominent of these is the so called 'drafting law'. Under this laws, Illinois will grant citizenship to any imagrents, as long as all eligible immigrants members serve in the military for 3 years. The people who are not elegable will be provided jobs that are not taken by citizens, and children will be provided with education. War is declared on Wisconsin. 20,000 troops are sent up, mostly near Lake Michigan, attempting to take the most populated areas. Meanwhile, We request Peaceful union with Kentucky and Missouri saying that such a union would be beneficial to all nations involved.
    • ALTERED RNG USED. 1-3 for Yes.
    • Kentucky (4) Rejects
    • Missouri (7) rejects
    • Michigan requests an alliance with Wisconsin so that the two nations might work together to defeat Illinois and Ohio.
  • Union of the South: We increase our military from 41,000 to 45,000, by employing immigrants in our armies. We ask for a merger with Arizona in order to strengthen both our nations. (MOD RESPONSE) We move immigrants to better jobs, as well as putting restrictions on risky business practices in order to get out of the Great Depression.
    • Alabama has a player
    • Shoot, meant to say Arizona.
    • Arizona accepts (Altered RNG used, 1-3 Yes, 3)
  • Indiana: Indiana continues to builds up its military. More roads are also built. Plans for a better highway system begins to be planned. President Paul V. McNutt aids Ohio in their invasion with military support.
  • Confederation of the Western Mississippi: After the union with Arkansas measures are taken to deal with the Dust Bowl. The government creates the Administration of Public Works which begins hiring the young and unemployed to work in public service, mainly conservationist measures, such as building a greenbelt in Northern Arkansas to contain soil erosion and creating more effective irrigation ditches is blighted areas. The Administration for Private Skills is also formed, with the plan of teaching workers; the Administraion opens several small factories and workshops in major cities and begins hiring the unemployed, with a slight preference towards women, to gain experience working technical jobs while making a product that can be sold. Another policy is implemented, which would teach refugees from Dust Bowl-afflicted states French for a very small fee, which would help in international cooperation and unity between the French-speaking Louisianians and the the purely-English Arkansans. The economy is thus expanded. Meanwhile, the harbors of New Orleans are are renovated to increase traffic. The military is reorganized and only slightly mobilized, standing at about 15,000 soldiers. Debate rages in the government as to how the executive branch should be run, and some propose a traditional presidency and others propose a some sort of council, but for now the head of state is the governor of Louisiana and the head of government is the governor of Arkansas. Another is bill is hotly debated, as the taxation of religious institutions is proposed to raise revenue for the state.
  • Californian Federation: Military and economy. The former governor of California, James Rolph, becomes president. The government is led by the CPC (Conservative Party of California). Every month, a National Meeting is held between the political parties(full list will be on the page). We offer peaceful union to Nevada (mod response) Immediately, Rolph begins work on stabilizing California. With the revelation of this information to the entire former US, we offer peace to Oregon, but until they accept an additional 25,000 men are sent into the state, mainly to combat the Washington extremists. Seeing the flow of immigrants from Route 66, a large debate breaks loose on what to do with the immigrants. While especially the Socialist and Communist parties demand that the immigrants are offered jobs and citizenship, the Fascist party demands they are sent back. All immigrants(except for a few, which manage to get through) are stopped from proceeding further into the state and, for the time being, are given temporary shelter and food until a solution is found. The Progressive party proposes a law stating that the immigrants must serve in the army for 5 years, after which they will receive a Californian passport. This law receives large support from some parties, but especially the Communist and the Fascist party are against this law, with the Communists demanding that they are given a passport unconditionally, and the Fascists demanding they are sent away entirely. A solution is still not found, but for now the immigrants receive shelter near the border.
    • Michigan needs aid against Ohio and Illinois.
    • Cali can't send aid that far.
    • (ALTERED RNG USED, 1-3 YES) Nevada, knowing it can't defeat California in a war, accepts. (2)
  • Michigan faces a full scale invasion by Illinois and Ohio. Austien Hall attempts to mount a defense while at the same time seeking a diplomatic solution. 15,000 men are raised for the war effort, and hundreds of tanks are deployed for the war as well. Plans are laid for over 20,000 men to fight for Michigan. Aircraft are also deployed, along with our gunboats. We request that, if Ohio and Illinois do not seek a diplomatic solution, New York and Pennsylvania put aside their differences and aid us in keeping our hard won freedom. We request that Kentucky and Missouri enter the war against Illinois and Ohio, and we also ask the same of Minnesota. (Mod Response) If this fails, and they don't enter the war, we are willing to surrender.
    •  RNG USED FOR THE FOLLOWING:
    • Kentucky: Yes (10)
    • Missouri:Yes (4)
    • Minnesota: No (7)
  • Independent State of Georgia: Elections are held and incumbent President Richard Russell, Jr. wins it for a second term. We ask our neighbours (Alabama, South Carolina, Florida and Tennessee) for a Non-Attack Pact. Meanwhile, we focus on our military, with many soldiers being recruited, mostly for the army and air force, but recruits in the navy and marines rise. Navy bases are constructed in Savannah and Brunswick, where patrol boats are constructed in the dry dock, and several warships are ordered to be constructed, therefore marine recruits train in camps nearby Brunswick and Savannah. Farming stabilizes the economy, slowly bringing Georgia out of the Great Depression. Education is improved. Although Georgia is mostly Conservative, Fascist movements slowly rise, but this is barely noticeable.
  • Commonwealth of Virginia: We continue to trade with the Carolinian Republic, and ask them for a defensive alliance. We improve our military, now focusing on building bombers (we did recover some aircraft from our military bases. We invade West Virginia. This idea was led by President Swanson, who wasn't polling well in advance of the upcoming election. He believed that if he could conquer West Virginia, he would be well liked. While we attack Northeastern Virginia, as it's east of the Appalachian Mountains, we also use our good navy (thanks to the naval bases in Norfolk, Yorktown, Dahlgren, and Quantico) to send soldiers up the New River, into the Kanawha River, in order to navigate through the Appalachians and get to Charleston more easily. This is important because West Virginia does not have much of a navy as it is landlocked. We improve our infrastructure, focusing on building a passenger airport in Mechanicsville in greater Richmond. We ask for any help possible in our invasion of West Virginia, especially from Kentucky or Ohio.
    • Kentucky Declines (3)
  • Pennsylvania: Military and Economy have improved. PA does not decide to invade Delaware, but rather to protect it from te ASA. PA Proposes a coalition alliance against the ASA, inviting Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia to join the coalition. PA also request a Union with Delaware and West Virginia, to help each other improve their economies and militaries.
    • Virginia hopes to get good relations and trade with Pennsylvania, and even ask for their help in invading West Virginia for a united Virginia. PA also sends troops to Kentucky to help take down the couruppted governments there.
    • Delaware (RNG USED) declines (5)
    • West Virginia (RNG USED) accepts (4)
  • Maryland: Economy and military built up. The construction of infrastructure is started, meaning there could be a construction in Baltimore. The Navy is also building the ships, gains could be important for Maryland. Also we accept the PA coalition alliance. The invest for exports is started and even there could be a project for a tower and bunker building, but it's still in talks. President of Maryland discusses about the project of the bunker and tower, surely isn't named and not completely announced. So far the civilians are good in the populations.
  • The Allied States of America improve the military and economy. The industrial fire in albany proves to be a set back in reducing the effects of the depression, the fire does bring about new Factory regulations to lower the chances of said event from happening again. Those who lost jobs in the fire are placed into the military, which now stands at 80,000 men. An additional 4 light tanks and 3 heavy tanks are added to the army, bringing the total up to 65. The navy continues to grow as well, with 4 new light cruisers added to the navy. The government also begins to build its first destroyer. The air force sees some slight improvements. The OPA continues to be effective at reducing inflation and deflation. Factories in Albany are reconstructed, as new ones open in Buffalo, Trenton, New York and Newark. 6000 troops and light mortars are stationed on the ASA-Pennsylvania border, and gun boats are activated in Lake Erie two light cruisers and several gun boats are stationed off the coast of Delaware to deter their entry into the Anti ASA Coalition.
  • Great Alaskan Republic: Militias and military located in the state, as well as a mass migration of Alaskans in the US army, forms the Alaskan Armed Forces, standing at 15,000 strong. However, the lack of armed forces is made up by gun owning civilians. Conservatives in the west coast who are fleeing socialism, and Mexicans looking for opportunity, begin to turn up in Alaska, craving for its natural resources. A fire occurs in the city of Fairbanks, which provides many of the new immigrants with the job of rebuilding the town.
  • Mississippi: Mississippi continues to develop its infrastructure as the need to catch up with its neighbors industrially becomes more evident in the militarization of the region. Money, as limited as it may be, is poured into the education system to assist with the development of a new generation of education men and women who can continue to progress the industrialization taking place in Mississippi. However, this continues to cost the military as spending is cut to support the development of the state's industrial resources and educational system. In the swamps and backwoods of the state under the cover of darkness, black men and women continue to train with weapons, radio equipment, medical supplies, and survival skills, to assist them in making it through the heavy persecution of their black population in Mississippi. With the federal government removed from the equation, many Mississippians have suggested re-instituting slavery, especially with the Ku Klux Klan gaining many seats in the Mississippian Senate. However, this only encourages many blacks to clandestinely take up arms against the government. Some black leaders in the state have even suggested "alternative" to the current state of affairs in Mississippi.

1936[]

North Dakota is on the verge of collapse due to a lack of a strong central government. Canada is frothing at the mouth.

More events coming soon.

  • Union of the South: We build our military from 45,000 to 48,000, as well as starting to build up a much stronger navy. We ask for California to join us (PLAYER RESPONSE), in order to form a "new Union of America". California will get extreme autonomy in this government, and the so-called "Californian Complex" will be a separate government that has to answer to the Austin government in times of crisis or war (but will still be a core part of the "Union of America"). This is all to form a new US, which is our reason for formation (however, we do not in any way claim the rest of the former US, as not to anger the ASA or Ohio). We move our many immigrants to jobs in the military or in low-level government jobs, hoping to get more productivity out of our growing 7,250,000 person population.

  • Iowa's moderate Socialist government falls this year as outrage at the defeat in Montana (which annexed only one county) boils over. It is crushed in midterm elections by the far more radical Marxist-Leninist Party, which tacks even more leftwards, putting the nation's economy under "war communism" to deal with the ravages of the Dust Bowl. The government recruits thousands into "public labour" units, pushing down unemployment, and people rush to join the military for a promise of a warm meal and a bed. In order to prevent population losses, the government offsets immigration by taking in thousand sod Socialists and Communists fleeing less friendly states. The Iowan government publicly states its commitment to the freedom of the North Dakotans. it secretly sends a message to Socialist elements in North Dakota, suggesting that they request intervention by Iowa to end the chaos, and assist Iowa to restore order. Mod Response Noting Michigan's avowedly anticommunist stance, Iowa declines to join the war, and instead declares war on and invades Wisconsin with 30,000 men.
    • RNG result 2: Dakota secretly accepts.
    • Michigan points out that we aren't anti communist, as we hare fascism. We were willing to over look your instability and tyranny If you would help us.
  • Alabama: The government unifies the Army National Guard, remaining Army units, and the Air National Guard. The construction of military industry such as magazines, armories, and shipyards begin. The Coast Guard plans to expand to become a larger defensive naval force. We offer Tennessee a union, where the national capital would be moved to Knoxville, Nashville and Montgomery would remain our respective state capitals, and we would assure you equal rights. It would give you access to a port and waterway for shipping. (MOD response)
    • Modified RNG result 3: Tennessee accepts.
  • Indiana: Indiana continues to builds up its military. More roads are also built. Plans for a better highway system begins to be planned. President Paul V. McNutt continues to aid Ohio in their invasion with military support, and also sends military support to help both Ohio and Illinois against Kentucky and Missouri.
    • The Illinois Republic appreciates the help, but feels that it would be better for Indianna to launch invasions against Both Michigan And Kentucky, as this would lead to a nearly sure victory for the alliance.
    • Indiana Diplomacy: President Paul V. McNutt agrees, and launches a direct invasion of Michigan and Kentucky.
  • The Republic If Illinois:We attempt again to attack Wisconsin, rallying our troops for a second strike. Assault is also continued on Michigan, as we hope we can still make gains with the help of Indiana. However, instead of continuing to fight, we ask Missouri for a truce, which will end the fighting on that front for both of us. This offer, we believe, will be beneficial to both sides involved. Meanwhile, we expand industry throughout or nation, focusing on Chicago, and central Illinois. The flood of Midwestern refugee begins to slow, allowing money to be focused on other issues.
    • Umm, wasn't your attack thrown back? Therefore, I should be able to counterattack this turn, or at least Wisconsin should.
    • I think you're right, Spar.
    • Missouri Rejects (7)
  • Confederation of the Western Mississippi: Debate still rages in the government as to where the capital should be, but agreement is not made due to political and security issues, so the two centers of administration are Baton Rouge and Little Rock. While this is done, legislation is passed to increase black voting power, by passing acts to make literacy tests more relevant and my allowing for a small amount of errors, as well as making the test more universally applied. The military is expanded to  to 25,000 regular troops that and keep about 2,000 soldiers patrolling and gendarmerie. The Confederations expands the navy and after the formal incorporation of the US remnant fleet the government begins a policy of one new fully-modern battleship every year. The Confederation also invades Western Tennessee, with plans to occupy everything between the Mississippi and Henry and Wayne counties, the reason given is that the government claims Tennessee is a failed state that is not properly caring for its people.
    • Diplomacy: An offer is sent to Tennessee to capitulate the Western regions peacefull and the Confederation will give Tennessee 2/5ths of the income of these regions for 6 years. Aid in the form of supplies are sent up-river to aid the Ohioans and the Republic of Illinois in the Great Lakes War.
    • Alabama Dip: We have already unified politically with Tennessee and would request that Mississippi pull its forces out of Tennessee. If Mississippi does not withdraw, we will be forced to respond.
    • Confed. Dip: Sorry about that, but we're continuing the invasion anyway. If you agree to allow us to have teh section that is coveted, Alabama will receive 50% of the income for ten years and will be allowed lenient shipping access to the Mississippi River..
  • Ohio Federation declares independence as a federal republic. Surrounded by chaos in Michigan and nations the same size as Ohio; we declare our goal to unify the Union through all means possible. We change our flag to have all grey stars and stripes, representing the fragmentation of the Republic. While the rest of the former states in disagreement, Ohio tries to improve its economy during these times of war.
    • Michigan request that a truce be made before the war cause even more bloodshed.
    • Spar. Do you see that button to the right of the one with the numbers? Yeah, press that the next time you post you diplomacy.
    • Which one?
  • Michigan has raised about 20,000 men to defend against Ohio and Indiana. We mount an attack upon Chicago with Wisconsin, using about 5,000 men, tanks and aircraft. We send a diplomat to Iowa, and request that they join the war against Illinois.
    • Wisconsin RNG to decide if it remains in the war: Wisconsin Accepts (8)
  • Independent State of Georgia: We continue trying to make Non-aggression pacts with our neighbours. The military is vastly improved and is only used in defense, the navy and air force are also improved with more recruits arriving and joining. The next election is set to be held 1940, making a five-year election cycle. The Parliament is fully filled with Independent politicians and Nonpartisans, but the Conservatives and the Georgia Party are expected to be elected into the Parliament in the 1940 elections. Fort Independence is built near Savannah where many soldiers are stationed for defense. The KKK and Fascist groups continue to rise. Georgia begins to rise out of the Great Depression, with food sales quickly beginning.
Fort Zancudo (the southern one, near Route 66) finishes construction this year and is armed. The two other forts also finish construction. Trade is offered to Oregon, Texas and Washington. The independence of Texas, Michigan, Virginia and New York is recognized by James Rolph, who states that they do not differ from the Federation in their goals. Construction of the navy begins. This year, a solution to the immigrant question is found. After a vote, the Progressive plan is passed and the immigrants of ages 20-65 must serve in the military for 5 years. Their parents, children and husbands/wives will then automatically receive citizenship too. We also move our monitoring of Route 66 to the Utah border. This year, new administrative divisions are adopted, dividing California into three and Nevada into two. An alliance is offered to the Union of the South.
  • Commonwealth of Virginia: We make a deal with Pennsylvania (ask them if you want). We become allied with Pennsylvania, and we get a bit of land in West Virginia (the land in between Virginia and Maryland, where Martinsburg is located), and this becomes a new district. Now on good terms with Pennsylvania, we invade Kentucky, beginning to attack it as much as we can (sorry about what I said earlier). Swanson is sure to call this a military operation, and not declare war. However, with Swanson not living up to his promise of uniting Virginia, and instead fighting a war that does not directly affect Virginia, he loses his approval. In advance of the election, many new political parties form and join together. When the election comes around, the Democratic Party, Socialist Party, Virginia Nationalist Party, Progressive Party, Republican Party, and Conservative Party are the only remaining parties. As they each hold their conventions in different cities, KKK members storm into the Republican convention and kill as many black people as they can, and they also kill whites in the process. This polarizes the country about whether to give black people more or less rights. The main candidates for the Presidency were Democrat Claude Swanson, Conservative Harry Byrd, Progressive James Price, Socialist W.L. Gibson, Virginia Nationalist A. Willis Robertson, and Republican Benjamin Muse. No candidate won the majority, which caused controversy as to who would become President. Conservative Harry Byrd had received the most votes. Before the Supreme court could make a ruling, the Progressives, Socialists, and Republicans all joined together to form the Liberal Party, with Price as their Presidential candidate, and Gibson as his running mate. Now a new party had the plurality of the votes, but still no majority. Finally, the supreme court found that the receiver of a plurality will win, but that parties may not make a coalition unless it occurs ten days before the election. Harry Byrd became the new President, with Howard Smith being the second Vice President.
  • Maryland: The project of the bunker and tower building, the Maryland proceeds on with economy. The election was not in order to date yet but the President of Maryland will be named. Also some things to approve is the Maryland Navy still doing the shipping cargo to deliver the goods. Stock company normally included and also for the exchanges. The taxes could be better. Baltimore will expect more populations with it.
  • PA continues its Invasion of Kentucky with Virginia and builds its military and economy.
  • Uhh, Virginia is helping Kentucky fight against Ohio. So therefore, you are fighting against your ally.
  • I'm sorry, I was confused about who's fighting whom. I am fighting AGAINST Kentucky. My Bad. Vatonica (talk) 23:55, April 21, 2015 (UTC)
The Ai force sees some slight improvements.

North Dakota collapses into a group of Warlords. Quickly, 3 major Groups rise up: A Democratic Group, a Socialist Group, and a Fascist Group.

The Northeast war becomes less and less popular, with lots of blood and stuff.

The Military becomes Frustrated at the Illinois Government, seeing them as incompetent.

A Popular, Military Coup is stage ordered the Michigan Government. The new government, refusing to accept peace, vows to continue fighting until their final breath. (Popular revolt in Michigan)

Expansion Penalty for California and Texas fades. Standard Expansion penalty remains

Note: A new Algo will be implemented as of tonight. Any algos not currently done will be done with this new algorithm. On Going wars will continue to use the old algo.

  • The Republic of Illinois: With presidential elections already scheduled for this year, the parliament is real red as well, resulting in a much more popular government, that is relatively supported. The winner of the presidential election is Paul Morris. With the military situation as it is, he asks for a cease fire with Michigan, as well as Wisconsin, believing that way, both Nations can focus on there individual threats, rather than each other. This is supported by the military, who feel a war against Michigan will only lead to more harm. However, we continue to attack Missouri, hoping to gain some land for our war efforts. We focus our renewed attack on the St. Louis metro area.
  • Michigan will accept IF Illinois will withdraw from Missouri, and they start supplying us with weapons.  We would also like it if they moved to help stop Iowa.
  • The Allied States makes the decision to invade Delaware in order to secure hegemony over the eastern seaboard. 30,000 men and 20 ships are deployed in the invasion. The nation continues to expand its industry, with the war increasing the demand for labor and aiding in the decline in unemployment. the OPA continues to be effective at reducing inflation. The nation also begins to expand its air force, which has been somewhat neglected since the nation seceded from the US. Elections are held again this year, with the major issues being military expansion and unemployment. FDR wins reelection, and immediately continues his previous programs. The Army is expanded to include 90,000 men. An additional 6,000 men are placed on the Pennsylvania border. In secret, we ask to station military bases in the Confed of the Western Mississippi.
    • Alabama: We offer a military pact and trade agreement.
      • PA would like to remind Alabama that the ASA unjustifiedly invaded Delaware, for no real reason than for personal gain.
    • C.W.M. Dip: We allow the stationing of an A.S.A. military base.
Fort Zancudo (the southern one, near Route 66) finishes construction this year and is armed. The two other forts also finished construction. The Federation declares war upon Utah, requesting that the Union of the South joins us in this war (Upvote respond). An army of 30.000 men is sent in. Rolph wins the elections as he goes for another term.
    • C. W. M.: Diplomacy: We condemn Californian aggression and offer political support to Utah.
  • Indiana: Indiana continues to builds up its military. More roads are also built. Plans for a better highway system continue to be planned. President Paul V. McNutt, seeing the war getting unpopular, decides to withdraw and calls for a way to put an end to this war.
  • Independent State of Georgia: The capital is moved from Atlanta to Savannah, therefore a seat of government is being constructed at the center of Savannah, the main building of the seat of government will be named the Georgia Capitol, it will be in Neoclassical style. Meanwhile, the first warships are constructed in Brunswick, Savannah and other coastal towns. The military is improved with more recruits joining either the Army, Navy, Air Force or Marine Corps. More bombers are produced. We again ask our neighbours for Non-attack pacts.
    • Alabama: We offer a military alliance.
  • Michigan rallies the entire military to fight against our sole remaining enemy, Ohio. We request that Wisconsin continue to aid us by sending half their military to aid us, and begin fighting as long as possible to defeat Ohio. With Iowa's entry into the war, we request that Minnesota, Nebraska, and Montana join the war to fight against Iowa. (Mod response) a state of total war is declared.
    • Iowa reminds Michigan that they are not at war, and that it wishes for nothing but good relations with Michigan. Iowa is at war solely against Wisconsin, and has no intention of attempting to damage the interests of Michigan.
    • Michigan withdraws tthe requests in return for weapons and other supplies.
  • Alabama: The government agrees with Mississippi and agrees to a gradual withdraw as Mississippi troops move in so stability is kept in the region. This drawdown will occur over the next year. We also propose a joint military alliance. The national military forces begin to integrate the Tennessee National Guard, and the armed forces into our military. The government continues to ensure that the former Plessy vs. Ferguson is enforced. The government looks to expand our port city, and convert the Coast Guard into a Navy.
  • Maryland: Military and economy improved. The project is still in the progress whilst the Government didn't had the plans yet. Reaching into the Baltimore, the population is kinda in great mood. Things to watch will be modernization, the industry a key but a plan will be discussed. Also the military, the development of weapons could be still in reach and in navy the ships will be guarded. Baltimore was the capital city.
  • Commonwealth of Virginia: Our new President, Harry Byrd, focuses on the invasion of Kentucky. He repairs the roads to our historic places, such as Monticello, Mount Vernon, Arlington National Cemetery, and Civil War battlefields such as Manassas and Fredericksburg. Harry Byrd also drafts a bill to not allow immigrants from any country other than the former United States, and that an immigrant would be required to pass a literacy test and pledge their alligeance to the Commonwealth. This was a first step at only allowing white people to immigrate. An amendment to the Constitution passes, stating that all women must be treated equally to men, and limiting discrimination against women. This was one of the main platforms of the Liberal Party, and their party gained more support among women. The Liberal Party, which had a majority in the Senate and a plurality in the House of Delegates, was favored in cities, especially the middle class, while the Conservative Party was favored by the rich upper class as well as some rural workers. The majority of rural workers were in favor of the Democratic Party, with the urban poor in favor of the Virginia Nationalist Party. With the Liberals controlling much of Congress, Byrd vetoes a large amount of their bills. Unabale to override them, the Liberals make five amendment proposals, each covering a different topic. They all pass the Liberal congress, and now they only need to be approved in the referenda. With this system, the President becomes somewhat useless as he has so different views than the rest of the country. We improve our infrastructure and economy, as Byrd tries to get the people to like him more.
  • Iowa annexes two-thirds of Wisconsin, turning the remaining third into the People's Republic of Milwaukee, in the southeastern portion of the state. The lower classes in Wisconsin enthusiastically support the new government,e encouraged by massive new welfare benefits, and most supporters of the old government are expelled into Canada. The military of Wisconsin is merged with that of Iowa, its troops being scattered throughout loyal units, and both undergo intensive political indoctrination. The army, with these and other additions, reaches 45,000. These troops are shifted west, and launch an invasion of Missouri in support of Illinois.
  • PA Ends the war with Kentucky. PA is also on Edge because the ASA invaded Delaware. Military and economy are improved.
  • Confederation of the Western Mississippi: After the peaceful annexation of Western Tennessee, the newly occupied and made into a Federal District ran by a Governor-General by the name of General James F. Lanow who originated from Southern Louisiana. Memphis and Jackson are set up as prime military bases and traffic on the Mississippi River is highly scrutinized. Meanwhile, extensive waterways begin to be built to improve travel and infrastructure, as well as irrigation. Patriotic sentiments begin to rise in the Confederation after the raising of the military and its use in a successful test-invasion, and thus the two Houses in two capitals pass bills to expand the military further and increase its day-to-day power. The navy continues to be built up, but the rate of building is increased to two fully-modern battleships every year. While all this occurs, racial tensions simmer slightly but a generally liberal view is held by the government and a vote is held to re-interpret the old Supreme Court's ruling in Plessy v. Ferguson and it is decided that separate-but-equal establishments must prove to actually be equal under the threat of lawsuits and fines, and bans segregation regarding public transport, bathrooms, and water access (e.g. drinking fountains).
    • Confederation Diplomacy: The state is apathetic to the rise of Nazism in Germany.
    • Alabama Dip: We were planning on beginning a slow draw down of our forces from western Tennessee while your troops took over so there were not any stability issues. We also propose an open border between the two new states for the next five years until people and businesses are able to stabilize on one side or the other.
    • Confederation Diplomacy: We agree to the open border and the slow pullout.
    • Drat, wrong person, didn't know there were two Mississippis
  • Washington: With California kept at bay, we decide to move on to other issues, such as economics and neighboring Idaho. With our economic policies paying off, the nation is slowly escaping the Depression. Economic policies in the nation help stabilize the national economy, even as the first combat-capable aircraft roll out of the factories, albeit these are not high quality. Our forces are ordered to cross the border back to Washington, with the number keeping Occupied Oregon split from Free Oregon going back to the original 5,000 troops. The rest are ordered to build up on the Idaho border, and ensure dominance in the region.

Japan Secures the US Pacific Territories and now looks to finish the war in China.

A man in Texas openly writes against the Government of the Union of the South, saying it is ridiculous to live in a nation run by a "Man in a Skirt."

Man in a skirt? Why? This event makes no sense.

It's a man complaining about weak leadership, obviously.

You're one to talk, Edge

Still. Man in a Skirt. Wtf

Up's nation is lead by a female. She is filling a role traditionally held by a male.

  • Washington: Military buildup continues on the Idaho-Washington border, as the nation prepares itself to take control of the resources and territory available in Idaho. As a result, we begin to prepare our new equipment, and ready an estimated 15,000 troops for military conflict. While this occurs, we begin to focus on expanding on trade and investing in the aerospace industry, hoping to eventually become a technological power in the region. Government sponsored research grants quickly become available as a result, as we wish to catch up technologically with the East Coast (although, we may already have the same tiers). Meanwhile, naval buildup begins, with the rising threat of Japan, and as a potential threat to Washington, we begin to prepare for a possible invasion by Japan, code named: Operation: Pacific Shield. As a result, emphasis heads to the shipyards, in order to prepare a trade hub and a larger navy.
  • The Republic of Illinois: we divide up captured Missouri into two sections. The first, which includes St. Louis, is immediately annexed in a popular political move. The second part, which includes Kansas City, is made a client state. We improve economy slightly, with more factories bring retrofitted to make weapons. We begin plans for a navy, but these will not come into action for several years. Meanwhile, war is declared on Iowa. We do this to limp it the. As a rival, and as a pre-emotive strike. We ask Michagan to help us in this conflict, and New York to send supplies.
    • C.W.M. Diplomacy: We declare war on Iowa in favor of Illinois for reasons of national interest, thus joining the war.
  • Indiana: Indiana continues to builds up its military. More roads are also built. Plans for a better highway system continue to be planned. Military aid is sent to Michigan to aid in their counter-attack on Ohio as part of Michigan's peace offer. Meanwhile, twenty-nine counties are annexed and added into Indiana gained from Kentucky.
  • Independent State of Georgia: In response to Florida massing their soldiers on our border for an unknown reason, we mobilize our borders as a warning in case of an invasion, we also mobilize the Air Force, Marine Corps and Navy. Meanwhile, we accept Alabama's request of a military alliance, and enters it, saying that if Alabama is invaded, we will intervene, and if Georgia is invaded, Alabama will intervene. In our capital, Savannah, a very large statue of Former President Andrew Jackson on a horse is beginning to be constructed. Many recruits join the Air Force or Navy, with some also joining the Army and Marine Corps. President Richard Russell, Jr. introduces economic reforms, further booming and stabilizing the economy. We begin some Military exercises. More Georgian Dollars are printed. The KKK continues to gain popularity.
  • Michigan launches Operation Wolverine, a massive attack using 25,000 men, tanks, and aircraft with the goal of driving Ohio back into their own nation. Paratroopers are dropped behind enemy lines in order to take vital objectives, such as bridges. Detroit becomes the key target of the attack, with many saying that the city may never stop burning. In Lansing, a Democratic opposition forms against the military. However, as unity is needed, they agree to wait until Ohio is defeated before having any elections. We request that both Iowa and Illinois cease fighting, and give us supplies to fight Ohio.
  • Iowa cedes a strip of territory in southern Missouri to Kansas, making it impossible for the Confederation of Western Mississipi to join the war without crossing Kansas, and thus declaring war on Kansas. It also calls on Oklahoma, Nebraska and Kansas and (Mod Response) against the warmongering government of Illinois, before they too face destruction. It secretly promises them land if they will join the war. A state of total war is declared, and a scorched earth policy is enacted over southern Missouri. This only worsens the devastating effect of the Dust Bowl on advancing troops, who begin to starve. All possible troops are mobilized for the war, enabling the recruitment of 45,000 men.
  • Michigan requests that both Illinois and Iowa stop fighting for as long as possible, AND GIVE US THE WEAPONS WE NEED TO WIN THE WAR AGAINST OHIO!
  • Calm your tits Spar
  • I am sick and tired of this war. I want some weapons to fight against Ohio, and the combined supplies from Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana might mean victory for me. But now that these two are going at it, I might not win this war, and it could go VERY badly for me. So please, can someone make them stop?
    • Iowa would aid Michigan, but has no resources to spare while fighting against an invasion by the traitorous nation of Illinois. It warns Michigan to eliminate Illinois while this is still possible, or Michigan too will see itself betrayed by a nation which promised peace.
    • The Republic of Illinois states that they will allow the confederation of western Mississippi to move across our nation, thus allowing them to continue to fight
    • Michigan request that both Illinois and Iowa make peace, as the war has gone for long enough.
  • Maryland: While the project goes on, many reports in Baltimore said that there is a war, and could also possibly put Maryland in the group of war. As it's clear that we'll join the war and troops looks finally set to be equipped and suited on army suits. It's rather a war. Maryland President hopes the aid from friendly states. The statement of the Maryland says the war which we'll join will be good but some development still doing its best to achieve.
  • Commonwealth of Virginia: We continue our invasion of Kentucky, and improve our military, focusing on building some bomber planes (Mods, what's going on with this?). A deal supporting labor unions is vetoed by Byrd but overridden by the congress. We continue trade with Carolina and Pennsylvania. We ask to improve relations with ASA. The people in urban areas continue to dislike Byrd as President. Three of the five Liberal amendments pass, and in the congressional election, the Liberal Party takes over in Congress. The three amendments are one involving economic law (including child labor and minimum wage), one lowering the voting age to 18, and one limiting the number of terms for a President at two. Meanwhile, the small fascist party begins to support Harry Byrd as a possible totalitarian leader. The Virginia Nationalist Party joins with the Conservative Party. In order to make the country happier, Byrd improves the economy.

Kentucky Collpased

  • Californian Federation: Military and economy. The former governor of California, James Rolph, becomes president. The government is led by the CPC (Conservative Party of California). Every month, a National Meeting is held between the political parties(full list will be on the page). We offer peaceful union to Nevada(mod response) Immediately, Rolph begins work on stabilizing California. Los Angeles is declared capital of the Federation. Rolph installs a military law, stating that every man or woman of age 20 or older must engage in military training every 6 months, to ensure the country has a defense when it is needed. We continue our invasion of Utah for now.
  • PA: after long serious discussion of continuous threats and seeing Delaware being invaded for no specifed reason, PA mobilizes its troops and declares war on the ASA. PA reminds all nations that delaware was invaded for no reason, and that the dangerous ASA regime must be taken down. 60,000 Troops are mobilized and calls all free nations to support the effort andanoher 45,000 are put in the army reserve. [Mil/Eco]
  • Union of the South: We accept California as our ally. We support Pennsylvania fully, and send supplies using our heavily built up navy. We prepare our troops to secretly attack the next year, and have over 55,000 in total in our nation.
  • The Allied States makes the descison to The invasion of Deleware conculdes. The nation continues to expand its industry, with the war increasing the demand for labor and aiding in the decline in unemployment. the OPA continues to be effective at reducing inflation. The nation also begins to expand its air force, which has been somewhat neglected since the nation seceded from the US. Elections are held again this year, with the major issues being military exapnsion and unemploment. FDR wins reelection, and immediately continues his previous programs. The Army is expanded to include 95,000 men. An additional 6,000 men are placed on the Pennsylvania border
  • Confederation of the Western Mississippi: Development of the military and infrastructure continues. Military schools are opened across the nation and the Confederation's official anthem is created to promote nationalism, as well as the beginning of the minting of Confederation Dollars (though old US dollars will still be accepted payments across the nation). We continue development of our navy and keep the building rate at two ships per year. The War in the North is continued, and generally supported by the public. Plans are made to unite Southeastern Missouri and Tennessee into one new state after the war's conclusion, while the spare county will be given to Arkansas. It is also decided that what would be the executive branch will consist of a council of the governors, which will be implemented after the upcoming new state in formed.

1939[]

WORLD WAR 2 BREAKS OUT.

The Previously-mentioned critic of the Union of the South Government is caught having an affair with another man. Later in the Year he is executed by the KKK.

With the Ongoing War, Kansas moves forces into the remainder of the Kansas City Area, preparing for a potential reaction from the distracted Iowa and Illinois

After Pennsylvania refused to do anything about the socialist revolts, the revolts intensify now that the country is losing the war, leading to an actaul revolution which fights both the Pennssylvania government as well as the ASA

  • The Allied States declares A naval blockade of Pennsylvania. They also offer to repair relations with Michigan. more later. We reqeust Ohio Comes to our aid. With The air Attacks from Virginia, a tech inveted in 1935 by a British Scientest Called Radar is adopted. This Radar tech provides an early warning for Virginia Air Raids. This allows the ASA to minimize the damage caused by said raids. In the Seas, the Virginia Navy proves to be a considerable threat, but the ASA is able to remain strong in that aspect as well. The ASA remains strong in her blockade of Pennsylvania, and Gun Boats stationed in Lake Eire conduct raids on coastal towns. We pull back our supplies from Illinois, seeing them being better fit in the war of Pennsylvanian aggression. With Ohio's aid, the ASA sweeps through Pennsylvania in a few months, and begins to combat the Socialist revolution.
  • Ohio (MOD): We honor the alliance and declare war on Pennsylvania
  • Michigan, weary from years of war, accepts, but will still fight to drive out Ohio.
  • Hawaii: The Governor of Hawaii, despite his best attempts to maintain order in the islands after the breakdown of order on the mainland, has lost control of his own state capital with Far-Right rebels seizing control of the state government and creating the National Committee for Unification. The Committee is made up of mostly white planters and ranchers. Meanwhile at the nearby military base of Pearl Harbor, the base commander willingly signs on with the new government, giving the new National Republic of Hawaii's military a manpower of 2,600 men and 8 small destroyers. Rallying the state's police forces, the new leader of Hawaii; Roger Moore Organizes the Hawaiian Self-Defense Force adding to the 2,600. Giving the military a  total strength of 5,600 men in uniform. in terms of the economy, the new government cuts taxes, duties and other tariffs across the board, allowing a general expansion of the economy and allowing for jobs to be created. To help boost the economy, President Moore creates a work program to have workers strip down old warships for scrap metal. This program when it is created, employs a total of 300 workers. On the island of Maui, a Socialist-Nativist Uprising occurs, followed by hours of violent clashes with police and militia units posted on the island.  We would like to offer a Trade agreement to the Californian Federation and People's Republic of Washington.
  • Washington: Military buildup reaches planned levels, as we prepare the final phases of the possible invasion of Idaho. As a result, on Valentine's Day of 1939, we launch an invasion of Idaho with the intent of acquiring territory and securing the nation. Preparations continue on our Navy, in the possible scenario of a Japanese invasion, as the ship construction industry begins to arise in the nation. Military production continues to progress, while our economy further stabilizes and the nation slowly climbs out of the depression. The country continues to invest on the aerospace industry and providing research grants for new technologies, which should allow for the nation to further grow.

  • The Republic of Illinois Continues to participate in the war against Iowa. We open up a new front in Wisconsin, intending to overwhelm Iowan forces and collapse the nation. We continue to fight on the Missouri front as we'll steadily working upward to the Iowan proper. Meanwhile, we begin to make gunboats, and use them to patrol lake Michagan. We state that we have no intentions to use these as an attack force, only to protect our nation and its citizens. Elections come, and our current president is reflected for a second term. Although the president is popular, his re-election leads to laws limiting the number of times a president can be elected to two terms.
  • Commonwealth of Virginia: We begin by improving our navy. In order to help out our allies in Pennsylvania, we declare war on the ASA and begin to send our navy to help them fight off the blockade. We call upon Maryland to also declare war against the ASA, especially to help liberate Delaware. We also begin bombing operations with our air force, mobilizing our planes from Langley and Fort Eustis, and focus on bombing their military bases, starting with the Navy base at Earle in New Jersey and Air force base Hazelhurst on Long Island. The passenger airport in Richmond is completed, and flights begin to nearby cities in Virginia but also in Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Illinois. Byrd's popularity grows as the country supports the war and the successful economy. Byrd also improves the infrastructure, focusing on building railroads to more western cities such as Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, and Danville.
The Minister of Defense, Jose-Rico Jones, proposes the construction of 3 forts along the borders of the Federation. This is passed and the construction of these forts begins. Fort Zancudo (the southern one, near Route 66) finishes construction this year and is armed. The two other forts also finished construction. Trade is offered to Oregon, Texas and Washington. The independence of Texas, Michigan, Virginia and New York is recognized by James Rolph, who states that they do not differ from the Federation in their goals. Construction of the navy begins. This year, a solution to the immigrant question is found. Their parents, children and husbands/wives will then automatically receive citizenship too. We also move our monitoring of Route 66 to the Utah border. This year, new administrative divisions are adopted, dividing California into three and Nevada into two. We continue our invasion of Utah.
  • Indiana: Indiana continues to builds up its military. More roads are also built. Plans for a better highway system continue to be planned. Military aid is sent to Michigan to aid in their counter-attack on Ohio. Elections are held, with M. Clifford Townsend becoming President and Henry F. Schricker becoming Prime Minister.
  • Independent State of Georgia: The Georgia Capitol is finished in Savannah, along with the large statue of Andrew Jackson on a horse, just in time for the 1940 elections. We ask Florida for an explanation why they are amassing soldiers on our borders, if Florida responds we will stop mobilizing our army on their border. President Richard Russell, Jr. forms the United Moderate Union (UMU). The military is improved vastly, mostly the army and navy. Meanwhile, economy is now perfectly stabilized with more crops growing. Meanwhile, we launch a crackdown on the KKK.
  • Michigan continues fighting against Ohio. The army has liberated Detroit, and is now pushing into Monroe County. Some hope to take Toledo itself. However, with Ohio offering peace, the war ends, and Michigander soldiers can finally come home. Repairs begin on Detroit and the other areas affected by war, and economic recovery begins.
    • The attack ended already.
    • Ohio Dip(MOD): We withdraw all troops from Michigan territory and offer peace to Michigan.
    • Michigan accepts, as long as Ohio agrees to a NAP.
    • Spar honor the fucking algo
  • Iowa continues the war against Illinois. Popular anger begins to build against Illinois, who are perceived as traitors and backstabbers, and support for the war remains high. Numerous popular militias are mobilized to support the war effort, and to dig a defensive line, behind which the army withdraws in January. Meanwhile, socialist revolts are incited in Illinois, with factory workers, especially in arms factories, and railway workers begin encouraged to launch massive strikes to immobilize the Illinois war effort. Massive relocation of industrial facilities into South Dakota and Northern Wisconsin begins to enable them to operate more freely. With the nation on the edge of collapse, Wisconsin is ceded to Minnesota in return for funding to carry on the war.
  • Alabama: The government plans to form several states out of our current territory to ease governance of the nation. There will be four states, two in former Tennessee and two in former Alabama. Capitals will be decided on later and the national capital will remain the same. The government forms the Navy as a separate branch and begins to work on a stronger Air Force and Navy. The army begins to work on chemical and biological weapons. Ground is broken on an aircraft factory in Montgomery, and a shipyard is put under construction in Mobile. The plan is to construct three destroyers, five corvettes, and a single cruiser. These ships will be constructed over the next five years. The Coast Guard will remain an independent branch for search and rescue as well as law enforcement.
  • Confederation of the Western Mississippi: Further strengthening of the military and its authority is done, and to increase effeciency women are allowed to into more non-combat decisions and segregation could no longer be in effect in brigades or battalions, only individual squads. Troops continue to be sent to fight against Iowa and help Illinois. The navy continuse to expand. Evolution becomes mandatory curriculum in state schools, which are also expanded on, the government also begins to investigate eugenics policies after an unknown wave on Nazi sympathizers enter the government. However, the Confederation officially remains neutral.
    • C. W. M. D.: We yet again offer Belgium a trade deal in attempt to gain more leverage in the Francophonic market in Europe.

1940[]

With Iowa collapsing, South Dakota proclaims the union void, and joins Communist North Dakota, forming the Dakota Confederation. The Capitalist and Fascist sectors of North Dakota are stomped out, and the nation proclaims itself a communist haven.

Minnesota, having occupied parts of Northern Wisconsin towards the end of the war, refuses to budge and continues to occupy the territory.

Utah agrees to end the fight against California so long as they are made into an autonomous zone (NOTE: NOT VASSAL)

So like, a province of mine? Just with increased autonomy? Because that's fine.,

  • Washington: We continue the Idaho War as our men begin crossing the border, and securing much of Northern Idaho, slowly but gradually, while we propose a merger with Oregon, in order to provide each other the necessary resources, and capabilities in order to fight future conflicts together, and to make our economies more efficient. Meanwhile, further economic policies are being continued, while some in the Washington Secret Service seem to suspect of the location of ex-President Martin, whom managed to obtain a Californian passport in the months following the Washington Revolution, somewhere in Northern California, particularly is suspected to be somewhere in Sacramento. While we can determine the results, we begin planning an assassination attempt on ex-President Martin codemaned: Operation: Popularity. In economic news, the nation continues to be pulled out of the Depression, and investment continues in the naval, aerospace and military industries, in order to benefit the economics of Washington. Research grants continue to be provided by the government, in order to catch up technologically with the rest of the former US, and (possibly) the globe. As a result of Californian aggression, we decide to declare the nation in a state of Total War, and thus ask for a massive draft to increase our numbers.
    • Oregon Accepts (2)
  • Indiana: Indiana continues to builds up its military. More roads are also built and infrastructure is improved. Plans for a better highway system continue to be planned.
  • The Republic of Illinois: Fater the collapse of Iowa, we formally recognize the independence of South Dakota, and Minnesota's claim over northwestern Wisconsin. We annex the remainder of Wisconsin, along with Iowa. Meanwhile, we split Missouri between the Confederation of the western Mississippi. We take the northern half, and they take the southern, with the border ten miles south of St. Louis. If the confederation does not agree to this proposal, we are willing to negotiate. Meanwhile, we begin influence on Nebraska(TURN 1/3) our economy is improved significantly by the annexation of Iowa and Wisconsin.
  • Michigan begins recovering from the war, and requests that Illinois cede 5/8 of Wisconsin to us. The current dictatorship begins encountering challengers from  Democratic opposition, who declare that Michigan will turn Fascist. As many of Michigan's population are antifascist, they receive support, resulting in Democratic elections. President George Ambrose is sworn in, and he has a constitution drafted, which is bases off that of the USA. Rebuilding efforts in Detroit continue, and it is expanded to other areas, like Lansing and Pontiac, which is now a symbol of freedom for Michigan, as the Battle of Pontiac turned the tide for Michigan forces. Luddington is slated to become a major port city soon, and it is hoped that this will aid in the recovery of the economy. Patriotism is very high after the war, and many now think of themselves as Michiganders, the Wolverines of warfare, both in the Upper and Lower Peninsulas. An entertainment industry is set up in Grand Rapids, and it begins making movies, cartoons, etc. The economic recovery will take some time, and trade is opened with several nations. We condem Minnesota.
The Minister of Defense, Jose-Rico Jones, proposes the construction of 3 forts along the borders of the Federation. This is passed and the construction of these forts begins. Fort Zancudo(the southern one, near Route 66) finishes construction this year and is armed. Utah is absorbed as the Autonomous State of Deseret, a special state of the Federation. Clarence D. Martin officially states his intentions to run for the Democratic Party next election. We held the invaded state of Idaho by invadin Washington with 40.000 men.
    • Dakota requests that California withdraw from Washington. It recommends a negotiated solution to the war; if California refuses, Dakota will intervene.
  • The People's Republic of Dakota is set up by Communist elements both in North and South Dakota, unifying the two Dakotas into one united country. With much of the industrial machinery having been moved from Iowa and Missouri by the now-collapsed Iowan government during the war, Dakota's industrial base is greatly expanded. 25,000 troops are recruited into a new national army, while the new government enjoys widespread support, having brought stability to both countries. Influence begins on Wyoming (Turn One of Ten). Dakota asks for mutual defence pacts with Nebraska and Minnesota. It also offers union to Montana, stating that with the collapse of the corrupt government of Iowa, it is time that the nations of the Great Plains came together in peaceful cooperation. (Mod Responses Please)
    • West Montana: With the union of Montana with Dakota, the desire for autonomy of some of the Montanans is fulfilled by the creation of the protectorate of West Montana. The militaryand economy develops, and socialist reforms are implemented more slowly.
    • The Republic of Illinois requests an alliance with The People's Republic of Dakota, feeling that only good things could come from such a deal.
    • Dakota accepts.
    • Nebraska Response: Declines (9)
    • Minnesota Response: Accepts (2)
    • Montana Response: Accepts (2)
  • Maryland: We'll accept the Virginia's call on Maryland to declare war against ASA. This would probably mean that it suggests to other threats that it could hurt us, it is avoided. Meanwhile, couple of things to see, the project still makes progress on building bunkers and towers in Baltimore. Even more modern buildings as well. The President of Maryland looks to liberate Delaware but it will be good. The chances for a war would be likely.
  • Union of the South: We pull a surprise attack on Oklahoma, invading them with 37,500 troops. We request an ally in Michigan and Maine (MOD RESPONSE). We put troops on the border with Louisiana as well, believing that they will invade soon if we don't. [Navy/Eco]
  • Dakota offers the Union of the South an alliance.
  • Michigan accepts.
    • Maine Response: Maine Declines (3)
  • Alabama: The government continues industrialization and strengthening of the armed forces. A new tank is planned to be manufactured as well as a light utility vehicle, and heavy transport truck. The Air National Guard begins to plan a new fighter plane as well as a transportation aircraft. Development of Mobile continues into a major port for the nation. The National Guard begins to mobilize in response to the Union of the South in case of an invasion.
    • Alabama Dip: We request to purchase the panhandle of Florida for 100 million dollars.
  • The Allied States begins to rebuild from the war. With the end of the war, the protectorates of West Virginia, Pittsburgh (Western Pennsylvania), and Philadelphia (Eastern Pennsylvania) are established. The ASA begins to influence the state of Massachusetts, hoping that they will join the ASA sphere as a protectorate (Turn One of 6). The nation's industry continues to be at an all time high, despite recent setbacks. The ASA continues the expansion of its navy, with the construction of 4 new battleships, and plans for an aircraft carrier. Radar is expanded in the nation, to provide early warnings against any enemy air raids. The Democrats continue to be the dominant party in the government. FDR continues to pass regulations that aid in the expansion of the nations industry. Military occupation of the Protectorates continues, especially with the recent suppression of the socialist revolutions. The nation continues to improve education as well, hoping to create new scientific minds. The military stands at 105,000 active men and 35,000 more in reserve.
    • The Protectorate of West Virginia sees most of the old government (From before the merge with Pennsylvania) return to power, under the guidance of the ASA. With FDR's new deal being successful in the Allied States, many of the same programs are adopted in the nation, including West Virginia's own version of the OPA. Industry sees light development in the nation. Build up of the capital city continues. Military stands at 14,000 men.
    • The Protectorate of Pittsburgh sees the creation of a new government, under the guidance of the ASA. With FDR's new deal being sucssessful in the Allied States, many of the same programs are adopted in the nation, including the nations own version of the OPA. Industry is expanded in the nation. Build up of the capital city continues. MIlitary stands at 20,000 men
    • The Protectorate of Philadelphia sees the creation of a new government, under the guidance of the ASA. With FDR's new deal being sucssessful in the Allied States, many of the same programs are adopted in the nation, including WThe nations own version of the OPA. Industry is expanded in the nation. Build up of the capital city continues. MIlitary stands at 20,000 men
  • Confederation of the Western Mississippi: After the soldiers return home from the war, but before they are demobalized, Governor-General Jame Lanlow launches a succesful coup d'etat. After seizing both the capitals or Arkansas and Louisiana, while still occuping Tennessee-Missouri the legislators cede control and the governors of Arkansas and Louisiana are killed are replaced with political allies until the next elections; the new "President," though the Council of Governors is not dissolved, and President Lanlow makes his son the Governor of the new Chikasaw state. The President proves smypathetic to Nazi ideology and sends Adolf Hitler a present, being an extremely fine coat. The government also begins following the Nazis in regard to eugenics, but stray more, believing that no one race in particular is better, but there are the best elements of each race, and that population regulations should more be about controlling reproduction rather than discrimination of specific groups, mainly due to the fact discrimination against Natives and Africans would be problematic considering the size of their populations. Though the country is now far more of a dictatorship, democracy is planned to resume during the next primary elections, though voting laws are now structured that only those who hold a job that is deemed important to society or are civil servants (e.g. soldiers, doctors) are allowed to vote. Meanwhile, the French-speaking Louisianian President decides to take measures to take as many French and Belgian refugees as possible. The new government focuses on improving the economy to keep the population happy, and a far larger military. Ship construction is increased to 3 fully-modern battleships per year; the government looks into the feasability of constructing and aircraft carrier.
    • Confederation of the Western Mississippi Diplomacy: The government officially supports Nazi Germany, and an offer is sent to take any all unwanted Francophonic refugees from Nazi Germany.
  • Florida: We improve our military and infrastructure. In a hurry for stability, a surprising African American president named March Okoro is elected by using his words of courage and promise of freedom. He passes many laws banning black discrimination. Though some traditional citizens are upset, in a poll it is found that over half the population agrees with the new laws. We try to send this influence to other states and many black citizens join the military allowing it to grow large. We tell Georgia that we fear invasion in a time of crisis, and we ask for peace and an alliance for us to stop sending troops to the border. The state currently supports capitalism for our economics. With Britain in the midst of WW2, we ask them for their colony of the Bahamas at a price of 4,000,000. We would very much like this deal so if the British don't accept, they can tell their more desirable terms for cost and war support in different ways as well as land arrangements.
    • Good one
    • You don't have that kinda cash to spare.
  • Hawaii: President Roger Moore has declared that due to the increased aggression of such nations as Japan and Germany in the recent months, the people of Hawaii must be adequately prepared to repel invasion and to fight off those who seek to destroy us. Thus we improve our military and infrastructure making military service for all citizens mandatory, on the island of Maui reinforcements land in the form of 200 gendemarie. These extra troops give the government forces a significant advantage over the rioting citizens. In an attempt to continue our preparations for self-defense we ask that the Great Alaskan Republic form an alliance with the great nation of Hawaii, we extend the same offer to the Californian Federation.

1941[]

Operation Barbossa, the invasion of the USSR by Nazi Germany, begins. Witout aid form the Americans (Like The Soviets had in OTL), Germany is successful in securing Eastern Europe and the Baltics, though they are forced back From Russia Proper. With out allies on the mainland, the UK considers surrender, with Winston Churchill being adamantly against it.

Popular revolt in Michigan Ends

A group of Mormons, wanting a theocratic state, flee to Southern Idaho, where they stage a rebellion and establish the Holy Republic.

Utah is absorbed as the Autonomous State of Deseret, a special state of the Federation. Clarence D. Martin officially states his intentions to run for the Democratic Party next election. This year, Washington collapses and the war ends in a Californian victory. We return the land Washington took from Idaho to Idaho, and begin influencing the state (Turn One of 4). Clarence D. Martin decides not to run for president after all, but does decide to run for Governor of Washington. James Rolph loses the elections, and Progressive candidate Earl Warren becomes president of the Federation.
  • Michigan continues to rebuild from the war. Economic and infrastructure are both repaired and improved. New highways are built, and major construction work begins across Detroit, creating jobs. A plan is laid to connect the Upper Peninsula to the Lower Peninsula by creating a massive bridge, named the Michigan Bridge. If completed, it will be larger then the Golden Gate Bridge. A host of projects are started to revive the economy, and trade begins with several nations, like Illinois. As the Democratic Party takes power, a Conservative Party is formed to counter them. The Federal Republic of Michigan is reborn, and several new states are created. We request again that Illinois give us 19 counties, secretly promising aid against Minnesota if they do. We request an alliance with Alabama, the Carolina Republic, Virginia, Indiana, and Florida. (Mod response for inactive nations)
    • The Republic of Illinois states that we will not give that many counties to Michigan. However, we would be willing to sell, at a reasonable price, as many as 7-12 countiss, and offers a trade deal as well.
    • Michigan accepts at least 12, plus trade deal.
    • Alabama Dip: We will investigate the possibility of an alliance just so the government can ensure that it will be stable.
    • Indiana Diplomacy: President M. Clifford Townsend accepts Michigan's alliance offer.
  • The Republic Of Illinois: a president, George Rudolph is elected. He is largely for peace, and states that the Republic will continue to grow in power. Instead of keeping the same borders, he splits western Missouri of to become a protectorate of The Republic. He also splits off parts of the Wisconsin coast, this to become a protectorate as well. Thesis move is popular with the people in these areas, as they now have a greater level of independence from the government. Influence is continued in Nebraska (TURN 2/3) with the Nebraskan government slowly becoming aligned with the Republic. Our country name is officlay changed to the New American Union, a name that is found to me more inclusive to recently conquered regions.
    • C.W.M. Diplomacy: After the recent war, the Confederation would like to cement friendship in the form of an official military alliance.
  • Dakota continues to integrate the newly unified regions of Montana and expand its industrial base. New factories are constructed, and the Premier officially declares the Dust Bowl at an end, to nationwide celebration. To ensure such an event does not recur, the government creates a nationwide agricultural plan stipulating what crops can be grown where, thus preventing overuse of soil. The military expands to 30,000, and arms manufacturing capability grows to supply it. Several dozen fighters are produced to create a nascent although still small air force. The government officially declares its opposition to reunifying the united states, saying that Dakota will be independent in perpetuity, and recognizes the independence of every state. Influence continues on Wyoming, and an alliance is requested with Wyoming and Idaho. Mod Response Meanwhile, seeing a theocratic republic implicitly hostile to Socialism established in southern Idaho, Dakota is forced to intervene for its own self defence and to protect the stability of Idaho and the region. 35,000 troops cross the border to destroy the Mormon rebels.
    • West Montana continues to build up its military and improve mining facilities to supply the larger industrial sector of Dakota. The military expands to 13,000.
    • Wyoming(RNG, 3): Declines
    • What about Idaho?
    • Idaho accepts (10)
  • Alabama: The Navy receives two destroyers, and the army continues construction of military bases and the facility to construct armored vehicles, artillery, and light utility vehicles. The states in the nation are officially formed and become official political bodies. Construction of a defensive wall bordering West Mississippi continues and will be completed next year. Mobile Alabama is expanded to serve as the primary hub for the Deep South. Work on a new propeller fighter plane, cargo plane, and scout plane has begun. The Jim Crow laws are officially repealed for the nation, and a new set of laws are put in place to ensure equal and fair treatment of both races. There are some minor protests in a handful of cities on both sides, but the government stands firm.
  • Indiana: Indiana continues to builds up its military. More roads are also built and infrastructure is improved. Plans for a better highway system continue to be planned.
  • Hawaii: President Moore has declared that the new nation of Hawaii is now completely under the control of its rightful owners; The People. With this out of the way, President Moore begins a crack down on poilitical opponents, mostly Hawaiian nativist groups using the newly formed Hawaiian Self-Defense Force or Gendarmarie. However, realizing that such blatant attacks may be a bit to visible Moore creates the Interior Security Directorate, a secret police force dedicated to maintaining the government's rule. Beyond this, with compulsory military service in effect the number of men in uniform jumps up to 10,000. To add with the help of an industrialist, and using designs for the M1 Garand, the M1 becomes the service rifle of the Hawaiian Self-Defense Force and is mass produced in an the Pearl Harbor Armory.
  • C.W.M.: Many soldiers continue to be raised and stationed as gendarmarie, and the military jumps to 35,000 men in uniform. Benefits and payments for government workers steeply increase, and President Lanlowdecides to nationalize ferries, railroads, telephones lines, and electricity, and orders that all government documents must also have a translation in French. Due to the immigration of Francophones from Germany, the rates of fluency in French increase, as well as the amount of laborers, and to the pleasure of many people, the ratio of whites to blacks increases. Vast affordable housing projects are also begun, and though the residential areas are segregated by race, they are made to equal specifications. Asians and Hispanics also begin to be segregated diffirently, with Asians now allowed into Caucasian areas and Mezticos begin being segregated with Africans. A new  act is passed to also edit the issue of interracial marriage, with the allowing of free-marriage with Coloreds (e.g. mulattos marrying whites), but anyone less than 1/4th of a particular race can not marry into it. The government makes plans for an official reproduction license to be issued next year, with amount of children allowed relying on character, intelligence, and resources of individual families. To pay for all these upgrades, both taxes are risen tariffs are risen to an even steeper extent. The government remains rather disordered due to the lack of federal capital, and as a result the Council of Governors meets in Little Rock and the President remains inhabits New Orleans.
    • C.W.M.D.: We offer Mississippi the opportunity to join the Confederation peacefully (since the player is no longer active I'm assuming I can do this, war if it is declined). We send delegates to Italy, Japan, Germany, and Quebecois nationalist groups, offering pacts of friendship.
    • Alabama Dip: We offer the C.W.M. a neutrality pact and to split Mississippi in a combined military operation. We also propose a joint security pact to ensure the safety of the Mississippi River for the future as well as maritime defense for the port cities from pirates and foreign nations.
    • Mississippi Response: Accepted (2)
    • Japan rejects (5)
    • Italy Accepts (8)
    • Germany accepts (4)
  • District Of Columbia: In the ruins of America, sandwiched between far larger states, the District of Columbia turns to becoming a trade nation. Proctor L. Doughtrey becomes president. A small military is created.
  • The Allied States continues to launch extensive rebuilding efforts across Pennsylvania. The Military expands as well, reaching 108,000 men. The navy expands to include two more battleships, though the navy continues to desire an aircraft carrier. Light and Heavy Crusiers continue to be produced. Influence on Massachusetts continues (Turn 2 of 6). FDR officially proclaims the great depression as over. Despite this, he continues to expand the industry of the nation and continues to push pro-industry legislation. The nation continues to pour funding into education.
    • The Protectorate of West Virginia continues to see econmic growth, with the adoption of several of FDR's New Deal Policies. The nation, not sutiable for large industrial growth, has its economy geared more toward the natural resources and agriculture the nation has to offer. The nation is granted several light mortars and rifles, as well as a few aircraft, by the ASA in order to protect the nations sovereignty
    • The Prectorate of Pittsburgh continues to see economic growth, with the adoption of many pro-industrial growth Policies. The nation, more suitable for industrial growth the West Virginia, sees large scale industrial build up compared to West Virginia. The Nation is sold several Light mortars, rifles and aircraft to increase the nations military power.
    • The Protectorate of Philadelphia continues to see economic growth, with large scale industrial build up thanks to new Pro-Industrial polocies put in place by the nation. The nation continues to develop, with growth of many cities, including the Capital city and Harrisburg. The Nation is granted several Light Mortars and rifles, as well as several aircraft to increase the nations military power.`

Great Britain Surrenders. The Axis powers win WW2. Canada goes free. However, the new confederation is too weak to hold the nation together. Canada Dissolves.

The Mexican Civil War ends in a Stalemate.

The Map has expanded to include Mexico and Canada. (See talk page for more info).

Ten Years since the final meeting of the US congress, a rally is held in DC calling for the end to the American Wars and a restoration of the United States. This Party, known as the "Sentimentals" remains small despite signs of growth.

Players, The Rules for influencing have been updated. Please check the talk page. ~Edge

  • The New American Union: George Rudolph, our president, continues to preach neutrality as the basic principle for the country. However, he loses popularity with the both the public and the generals with these policies, forcing him to relax these policies. Influence on Nebraska ends (Turn 3 of 3) with Nebraska becoming a protectorate of the NAU. Influence begins on Colorado, (TURN 1/4) with hopes of expanding the country even further. With both nations expanding towards each other, we ask for an Aliiance with the Union Of the South. Although many prominent politicians express interest within alliance with the Confederation of the Western Mississsipi, public opinion sways them away from an alliance, and instead offers a trade deal. HOWEVeR, plans are made to ally with the Nation soon, as soon as public opinion sways to them. A new special forces unit is made, despite Ruldohs protests. They are called the Blackhawks, and have approximately 800 members. The overall military leaves rests at slightly more than 75,000, with plans for only minor expansion. Our navy is built up, but is still only used as a defense force.
    • Nevada is owned by California. I don't think you can influence a state you don't have a border with.
    • Confederation D (Assuming this is post-Illinois): We express interest in a mutual defence agreement.
    • Michigan would not support an alliance with Fascists.
    • Sorry, I meant to say Nebraska, not Nevada.
    • He does border Colorado so yeah.
    • He borders it through his protectorate. Which, as I explained to Sean and on the Talk page, isn't enough in this game.
  • Federal Republic of Michigan: Having purchased 12 counties from the NAU at a price of 12,000, we thus turn our attention to ensuring that our nation is ready to face all threats, including the ones from the North. We request an alliance with Ontario, and begin building a naval base on Mackinaw Island. (mod response) Economic recovery continues, with the economy slowly bouncing back from the depression. The rebuilding efforts continues, but is now taking second place to the need for national defense, with several new gunboats being built in Luddington. The army is modernized, with new battle rifles and submachine guns being invented. A new tank is deployed, the T-90 Terror, which is designed to be as tough as a Soviet T-34, and several of the flaws of a T-34 are fixed for the T-90. Concerned by the rise of fascism, we request the formation of a massive North America Defense Alliance, which will only fight off the fascist powers. We request Virginia, Florida, and the Carolina Republic. (Mod response) We begin researching radar. The 12 counties we purchased from Illinois are made into the Republic of Wisconsin, a vassal state of Michigan.  We begin influencing Ontario.
    • Republic of Wisconsin: Green Bay becomes the new capital of Wisconsin. It serves as an important naval base for the Michigan Navy, and a small Wisconsin navy is created. Industrial renovations begins in Green Bay, with the ultimate goal of making the young vassal a strong industrial power. Agricultural output helps feed the populations of both Michigan and Wisconsin, and the military is about 10,000 strong. Michigan proves important in setting up the government, which is Progressive.
    • Sean can attest to the fact that we agreed to not allow Coalition of Liberty style alliances. Alliances should be small scale, not contenint wide. Also it doesn't make logical sense to carve a vassal out of A) A state so small and B) A purchuse from another nation. There is no precedence for a small nation in northeastern Wisconsin. ~Edge
    • I juat don't see the people of Wisconsin taking real kindly to their new nationality. Also, you should really log in sometimes.
    • Ontario (MOD): No
  • Federation of Georgia: Georgia changes its name from Independent State of Georgia to Federation of Georgia. We accept Flordia's alliance request and stop mobilization. Military is improved.
    • Alabama Dip: We offer Georgia an alliance.
  • Maryland: The Government is looking for more guaranteed development with weapons at the military factory. Troops are quite exactly set up with their army suits. The armour would be good to shield. The project of the bunkers and towers still on talks in the future, it's not likely to be known while it's announced. The Maryland Navy is also looking the ships can send some cargos to any states, even possibility for the market and stock for numerous reasons. The economy still needs to take it much appropriate status and the goods and exports with exact amount of it. The Government also thinks the war for Maryland to take Delaware isn't hard and thinks will be possible.
    • Are you invading me right now? ~Edge.
    • Give me some popcorn, I want to see this!!! ~Spar
The Minister of Defense, Jose-Rico Jones, proposes the construction of 3 forts along the borders of the Federation. This is passed and the construction of these forts begins. Fort Zancudo(the southern one, near Route 66) finishes construction this year and is armed. The 2 other forts also finish construction. Utah is absorbed as the Autonomous State of Deseret, a special state of the Federation. Clarence D. Martin officially states his intentions to run for the Democratic Party next election. This year, Washington collapses and the war ends in a Californian victory. We return the land Washington took from Idaho to Idaho, and begin influencing the state(turn 2 of 4). We request a NAP with Dakota
  • Indiana: Indiana continues to builds up its military. More roads are also built and infrastructure is improved. Plans for a better highway system continue to be planned.
  • Commonwealth of Newfoundland: After the collapse of Canadian government, Governor Humphrey T. Walwyn establishes an emergency government in Saint John's. Reorganizing any remaining military units station on the Island into the Royal Newfoundland Army (which currently stands at 2,000 troops) which is then used to establish control over the rest of the Island an control immigration form the mainland.
  • Alabama: The military and government annexes the Florida Panhandle, and sends troops in to the secure the region. We do not want to declare war on Florida, but will to secure the panhandle. The government requests a political union with Cuba to increase our influence and military strength. The Navy receives two corvettes and one destroyer. The rest of the ships will be complete next year. (MOD response)
    • Cuba Rejects
  • Mexican Republican State: Mil/Eco. The nation starts to recover from the civil war, with Mexico city and the metropolitan area becoming more stable by day.
    • Alabama: We offer Mexico an alliance.
  • The Allied States continues to see economic growth following the end of the Pennsylvania war. The Military stands at a solid 110,000 men. The navy continues expansion, with desires to build an aircraft carrier continuing. The nation continues to influence Massachussetts. (Turn 3 of 6) Industrial growth slows, creating a small panic this year. Despite this, the ASA economy remains strong, recovering by the end of the Year. The nation votes to become a direct democracy, abolishing the electoral college. The nation also outlaws Yellow Dog contracts and other anti-Labour laws. The nation also officially makes primary school, and including 2 years of High school, mandatory without reason. Veterans benefits are also expanded, with increased support for those who have returned home from the war. Investments in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia prove to be profitable, and many ASA based businesses begin to expand their operations in these protectorates.
    • The Protectorate of West Virginia expands both its military and agriculture, as well as its mining operations. With little capacity for industry, the nation proves to be the odd ball out of the ASA sphere. The Military of West Virginia orders 15 new aircraft, as well as several light mortars and rifles from the ASA. The nation fails to pass the educational reforms presented in the ASA, but it does pass several reforms outlawing systematic segregation. The nation does, however, become a direct democracy.
    • The Protectorate of Pittsburgh continues to expand its military and industry. Central Pennsylvania also sees a growth of Agriculture. Investments by ASA based companies proves to be successful at aiding the nation from recovering from the war. The nations industry levels have almost reached pre-war levels. The nation orders a lot of military gear from the ASA. However, many local factories begin to receive government contracts from both the Pittsburgh Government and the ASA government.
    • The Protectorate of Philadelphia continues to expand its military and industry. Central Pennsylvania also sees a growth of Agriculture. Investments by ASA based companies proves to be successful at aiding the nation from recovering from the war. The nations industry levels have almost reached pre-war levels. The nation orders a lot of military gear from the ASA,. However, many local facotries begin to receive government contracts from both the Pittsburgh Government and the ASA government.
  • Mississippi Confederation: The C.W.M. is renamed for the sake of brevity, now that the other Mississippi is gone. The site of the new capital is decided upon, and an artificial one called Fleuve Grande, that is to be built out of land from Mississippi, immediately across from where the Arkansas-Louisiana borders. Mores roads and canals are built to connect the newly added regions of the nation. Breeding licences officially begin being given out, allowing the government to control who reproduces, though it does not apply to couples married before it was passed. Parents who adopt children are given tax cuts. Military education policies are furthered. The navy continues to be expanded, and a massive admiralty begins to be built in Mississippi. More and more immigrants are taken from Western Europe, but immigration is almost completely ended to countries outside of the former United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.
    • Mississippi D: An offer of embassy exchanges and trade with Quebec and Yucatan are made. Free-trade deals are offered to the Third Reich, Italy, Japanese Empire, and Spain.
    • Alabama Dip: We offer a non aggression pact and defense against Texas if needed.
    • Mississippian D: A 10-year non-aggression pact and defence treaty would be happily agreed upon.
    • Quebec Accepts (6)
    • The Third Reich Accepts (8)
    • Italy rejects (7)
    • Spain rejects (5)
    • Japan rejects (9)
    • Yucatan rejects (MOD)
  • Hawaii: The President continues the massive military build up that has been occurring within the country for the past several years. In an attempt to run the nation more efficiently President Moore divides the islands into 12 military districts, each ruled by a Brigadier General. The current strength of the military stands at about 11,000, the goal being a 20,000 man defense force. Crop yields are good this season and allow for the economy to grow and prosper for the island nation. President Moore is also married this year to his new wife Anne, she is impregnated by the end of the year with the president declaring the child born will be his heir. We begin converting one of the old battleship hauls sitting in Pearl Harbor into a carrier in a massive public works project.
    • Hawaiian Dip: We offer recognition to Ontario in exchange for a trade agreement. We offer the same deal to Sonora.
    • Ontario (RNG): Accepts (3).
    • Sonora (RNG): Accepts and offers mutual defence treaty (3).
Influence continues on Wyoming (Turn 3 of 10) and begins on Alberta (1 of 10), which, with a tiny population, is economically dependent on Dakota and incapable of charting an indecent foreign policy course. Having secured a buffer zone in Idaho, Dakotan troops withdraw.
    • West Montana continues to build up its military and improve mining facilities to supply the larger industrial sector of Dakota. The military expands to 13,000.
    • Mississippi Confederation Dip.: An offer is sent to offer embassy exchanges, and to build proper infrastructure along the Mississippi in return for extremely cheap food prices and free access to the Mississippi River in territory belonging to Dakota.

1943[]

No mod events today.

  • Federation of Georgia: We accept Alabama's alliance request, and also send troops to help the Alabaman occupation of the Florida panhandle. President Richard Russell, Jr. says that the Federation of Georgia will change its name in the next year. More tanks are produced. Ships continue to be built in Savannah and Brunswick as the Navy is improved. Meanwhile, we improve our army as many recruits join. Economy is improved.
    • Alabama Dip: We propose forming an economic and military bloc between our nations. We will still be independent but have economic and military ties. Headquarters could either be in Atlanta or Knoxville.
  • Federal Republic of Michigan: Reconstruction work in Detroit continues, with a number of new roads, housing and factories being constructed. Green Bay sees massive construction work so that it may be more industrial, and becomes one of the key ship yards of Michigan. Grand Rapids becomes the center of the entertainment industry, with many new stars being born here. Lansing sees more construction work, with the National House reaching completion, which will serve as the house for the President. Work on the Connection Bridge continues, and economy recovery slowly progresses. Research into radar continues, and we begin looking for ways to put it to military use. We also begin researching jet engines. Luddington becomes one of the major port cities of Michigan, bringing in trade and goods. We become worried by the growth of fascism in the south, and propose that the ASA works with us to stem the tide. The military currently stands at about 25,000 men, with 400 tanks, 50 of which are the fearsome T-85 Heavy Tank, the rest are a combination of Medium and Light tanks, such as the Austein T5 Medium, the Rooster 45 Medium, and the Dog T-56 Light. There are about 150 artillery and tank destroyers. The navy is about 50 ships in the navy, ranging from gun boats to torpedo boats.
    • Californian Dip: We request to buy T-90 plans
    • Michigan accepts.
    • I don't know what spell you used to get Russian Made, 1990s battle tanks, but it's ending now. You wouldn't have access to Soviet/Russian Designs of the 1940s, let alone 50 years in the future.
    • I think it's just the name. It's not the literal T-90.
    • They are still based on Russian Tanks, which he magicked the plans for into existence.
    • Yea going back and re-reading, his engineers somehow got access to a T-34, reverse engineered it, fixed all of the faults, and began production of this miracle in the course of a year.
    • The Problem here wasn't the name (that was a confusion) the problem here is that you somehow developed a brand new Heavy Tank based of the recently designed T-34 and immediately began production off it. It takes time to design and produce a new tank like that. The name is a minor problem because you are naming them after Russian tanks instead of making your own .
Their parents, children and husbands/wives will then automatically receive citizenship, too. We also move our monitoring of Route 66 to the Utah border. This year, new administrative divisions are adopted, dividing California into three and Nevada into two. Utah is absorbed as the Autonomous State of Deseret, a special state of the Federation. Clarence D. Martin officially states his intentions to run for the Democratic Party next election. This year, Washington collapses and the war ends in a Californian victory. We return the land Washington took from Idaho to Idaho, and begin influencing the state(turn 3 of 4). We request a NAP with Dakota. This year, president Earl Warren presents the Great Iron West plan, a plan regarding the industry, with the goal of reaching similar industrial levels as the ASA and Ohio. The plan is passed this year, and execution starts. We improve relations with Colorado, offering them a trade agreement
  • Were did you get those? I make those T-90. Not you. Me. I can sell you some plans, if you want.
  • Well, in that case.'
  • Commonwealth of Newfoundland: After the collapse of Canadian government, Governor Humphrey T. Walwyn establishes an emergency government in Saint John's. Reorganizing any remaining military units station on the Island into the Royal Newfoundland Army (which currently stands at 4,000 troops) which is then used to establish control over the rest of the Island an control immigration form the mainland. With recent success in retaking control of the island, Naval units are sent to capture the Magdealen islands as well as Anticosti island (which they are successful in doing). A puppet government is also set up in the Maritimes (turn one of six). The Newfoundland government also begins investing in industry on the island, to lead towards self- sufficiency.
    • Newfoundland dip to Allied States: We seek a trade agreement and a Non-aggression pact with our neighbour.
    • The Allied States Accepts
  • Alabama: Our invasion continues in conjunction with Georgia. We take the panhandle and incorporate it as the Territory of West Florida (the counties of: Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes, Washington, and Bay), with the capital in Pensacola. The Navy receives the rest of the ships. Work on the military facilities is most of the way complete. To keep our economy diverse, timber is grown for lumber exports, and the services industry is improved. A stock market is opened in Birmingham. State legislation passes bills giving the right to vote to any white individuals. African American's are still limited to vote by Congress. With influence from former Tennessee and the Allied States, some of the states in the nation begin to pass laws giving African Americans more rights. This is primarily in Tennessee and Blue Ridge, while the southern states resist this change. The current president is more moderate and appoints a few African American's to the Cabinet in hopes of slowly dispelling racism. Development of the new tank continues and it is planned for 1945. Census from 1940 is released.
    • Alabama Dip: We request a political union with Cuba. (MOD reply)
    • Cuba (MOD): Rejects
  • The Allied States continues to see economic growth following the end of the Pennsylvania war. The Military stands at a solid 115,000 men. The navy continues expansion, with desires to build an aircraft carrier continuing. The nation continues to influence Massachussets. (Turn 4 of 6) The Industrial boom the ASA experienced levels off, growing at a slow, but steady rate. Most of the Industrial growth is seen in Pennsylvania. Veterans benefits are also expanded, with increased support for those who have returned home from the war. Investments in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia prove to be profitable, and many ASA based businesses begin to expand their operations in these protectorates. The nation begins to seek new battle tanks, beginning research on a  new light tank, the Roosevelt-7,  (Similar to the OTL M3.), a new Light tank, the Roosevelt-8 (M4) and a new  heavy Tank, the Roosevelt- 9 (M6). For now however, the Nation orders more M1s, the order to be completed next year.
    • The Protectorate of West Virginia expands both it's military and agriculture, as well as its mining operations.
The nation orders a lot of military gear from the ASA. However, many local factories begin to receive government contracts from both the Pittsburgh Government and the ASA government.
  • The New American Union continues to build up industry, especially across central and north Illinois, as well as eastern Wisconsin. we build up agriculture in Iowa, to work on feeding the growing nation. We declare war on Minnesota, sending 30,000 men in an attempt to take northern Minnesota, especially the twin cities, area. we send 25000 more men to the Minnesota held Wisconsin, opening another front. we ask Dakota to join this attack, promising them western Minnesota if they join. Meanwhile, we ask for embassy exchanges with the confederation of western Mississippi, California, Dakota, and Indianan. we begin influence on Kansas(TURN 1/3) setting up a pro-NAU government.
    • The protectorate of Nebraska builds up its agriculture, again to help feed the growing nation. it begins to actively contribute to the NAU army, sending at least 4,000 men the fight in Minnesota (NOTE: they are including, not in addition to, the troops I mentioned in my turn) Attempts to build up industry, though population constraints make this challenging.
    • Michigan elects to invade Minnesota, hoping to keep the spread of fascism away from the North and in the south. 10,000 troops are taking part in an amphibious attack on Duluth, and the fearsome T-85 Heavy Tank creates havoc on the battlefield, destroying the inferior Minnesotan tanks with ease. Meanwhile, an invasion of Minnesotan Wisconsin begins with another 10,000 men. The goal is to take Duluth, and thus link our troops up at the city. (This one front?)
    • Indiana Diplomacy: President M. Clifford Townsend accepts Illinois' embassy exchange offer.
    • Mississippi Confederation Dip.: 'Accept'ed
  • Mexican Republican State: Mil/Eco. The nation starts to recover from the civil war, with Mexico city and the metropolitan area becoming more stable by day. The MRS accpets Alabamas alliace offer, and oersa union to Yucatan.
    • The Yucatan Rejects.
  • Indiana: Indiana continues to builds up its military. More roads are also built and infrastructure is improved. Plans for a better highway system continue to be planned.
  • Dakota declares war on and invades Manitoba, mobilizing 35,000 troops to crush the virtually empty prairie province. The government cites the oppressive, anti-worker government as necessary for removal. The government ask calls on Minnesotan workers to rise up, and many do,s sizing town halls in the west of country and linking up with Dakotan troops. The government continues to extend its control into labour unions, utilizing its status as the only truly Socialist nation in North America to encourage them to accept the Dakotan government as the legitimate Socialist authority in the region. Dakota accepts the offers of both the Californian Federation and the C.W.M.
    • West Montana also declares war on and supplies troops for the invasion of Manitoba.
  • Mississippi Confederation: The infrastructure and economy continue to be improved upon. There are several protests, some of them violent against the new eugenics laws, in response, the government arrests alleged protest leaders and the President gives a reassuring speech and promises the coming gubernatorial elections will be completely fair, but literacy tests are used more widely on all races and are far more intricate and fair.

1944[]

The Sentimentals continue to grow popular, spreading far beyond the East Coast. Over 2,000 people in the Union of the South are registered members of a Sentimental Party.

Workers in the NAU begin to protest over the governments excessive militarism.

A note to players: Influencing should not be your primary means of expansion. If you have already vassalized a nation peacefully, you will be penalized for continuing it.

Second note to players: The Further from 1933 we get, the less accurate the census will be at determining population. To ensure all players have plausible numbers for population, please put your population somewhere in your turn.

  • In the New American Union, the protests are monitored carefully by police, and very little violence is reported. However, they lead to the election of Sam greenfield, who promises to keep the country out of as much wars as possible. Although the military no total just over 85,000, most of the soldiers are demobilized, and put in reserve. this move does a lot to calm riots, and it gives Greenfield a lot of popularity. Following our war with Minnesota, we turn the state into a protectorate. Minnesota held Wisconsin, as well as the upper peninsula of Michigan are annexed. We continue to build up industry, especially in Illinois, Missouri, and eastern Wisconsin. aquiculture is improved in rural areas such as the upper peninsula and Iowa, and both have high outputs. We begin influence on Ontario (TURN 1/6), and continues on Kansas(TURN 2/4) We ask for an alliance with The confederation of western Mississippi.
    • in the NAU protectorate of Nebraska, economy is improved, with several factories opening throughout the territory. conamic development is also focused on the states extensive farming industry.
    • in the NAU protectorate of Minnesota industry and economy are improved. With North west Minnesota being givin to Dakota the other agrarian areas of the state struggle to keep up with production. Meanwhile, industry is built up, especially in Duluth, which already has a booming shipping business. In the twin cities, more factories are built up.
    • Mississippi D: Accepted.
    • MOD EVENT: Because you have already used peaceful expansion, the time it will take for you to influence Kansas is extended.
  • Mississippi Confederation: The first democratic elections occur since the coming of the National Socialist government came into power are held. The results are that mostly well-educated, government-appeasing, and suprisingly ethnically-represantative people were elected to seats in state and federal legislative houses and to governership; Chickasaw re-elects the President Lanlow's son; no elections are held at all for presidency. The navy continues to increase at three ships per year, making the current fleet almost fifty modern ships, about half Confederate made and half inherited from the USA. Infrastructure continues to be improved upon, as most places in the Confederation are now accessible by canal, and many more by road and bridge. The economy also grows at roughly six percent due to increased state investment, higherworker spending power, and higher tariffs keeping out foreign competition.

    • Mississipi Diplomacy: Offers are sent to both the N.A.U., A.S.A., and Georgia asking to build military bases in their countries. An offer is sent to the poor-state of Yucatan and richer one of Newfoundland, including an offer to renovate all of their major ports in return for the opening of embassies and free-access to ports.
    • Newfoundland dip: We accept.
    • Alabama Dip: We protest this and are severely concerned by recent developments. We request that Mississippi withdraw request for these military bases and increased tariffs. These are threatening to the stability of the south.
    • Mississippi Dip: High tariffs are in the favor of the people of the Confederation. The Confederation believes that more military bases would increase stability of the region. Also, a reminder that Alabama just began the first war in the South and is threatening stability far more.
    • Alabama Dip: We were just wary because it seemed like Mississippi was attempting to form a ring around our nation. If there are no ill intentions we withdraw our concerns.
    • The New American Union agrees to the proposition, as long as the bases are away from major centers of population.
      • Con. Dip: Agreed.
  • The Allied States continues to see economic growth following the end of the Pennsylvania war. The Military stands at a solid 115,000 men. The navy continues expansion, with desires to build an aircraft carrier continuing. The nation continues to influence Massachussets. (Turn 5 of 6) The Industrial boom the ASA experinced levels off, growing at a slow, but steady rate. The nation begins to seek new battle tanks, continuing research on a new light tank, the Roosevelt-7,  (Similar to the OTL M3.), a new Light tank, the Roosevelt-8 (M4) and a new heavy Tank, the Roosevelt-9 (M6). Population Stands at nearly 18 million.
The nation does however, become a direct democracy. Population stands at 1.5 million.
    • With Elections in Both the Protectorate of Pittsburgh and the Protectorate of Phileadalphia, the nations vote to merge together to from the Reformed Republic of Pennsylvania. Still an ASA Protectorate, The nation maintains close ties to ASA and West Virginia. More Military contracts are ordered to increase the nation's aircraft and military power. The Military stands at 45,000 men. ASA issued contracts are also fuffiled in the nation to increase the nations industrial profit. Agricultural sectors expand as well. Population stands at ten million.
    • The Protectorate of South Michigan rebuilds from the war.
    • The Protectorate of North Michigan rebuilds from the war.
  • Federation of Georgia: We accept Alabama's proposal of an economic and military bloc, and we propose headquarters to be located in our former capital Altanta. Army is improved, alsong with Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force. The Government in Savannah is preparing for the 1945 presidential elections, as President Richard Russell, Jr. announces that he will run for a third term. Defence is vastly improved.
  • Californian Federation: Military and economy. The former governor of California, James Rolph, becomes president. The government is led by the CPC (Conservative Party of California). Every month, a National Meeting is held between the political parties(full list will be on the page). We offer peaceful union to Nevada(mod response). Los Angeles is declared capital of the Federation. Rolph installs a military law, stating that every man or woman of age 20 or older must engage in military training every 6 months, to ensure the country has a defense when it is needed. This year, President Earl Warren presents the Great Iron West plan, a plan regarding the industry, with the goal of reaching similar industrial levels as the ASA and Ohio. The plan is passed this year, and execution starts. Influence on Idaho concludes. We start influencing Colorado (Turn One out of 5). We offer an alliance to Baja California and the Mexican Republican State. The total population stands at about 11.000.000 people, and the standing army has reached 75.000 people. Naval improvements start.
    • Protectorate of Idaho State: Mil and eco. Population stands at a low 700,000, which leads to a propaganda campaign to encourage reproduction.
    • MOD EVENT: Because you have already used peaceful expansion, the time it will take you to influence Colorado is exteneded.
  • ''Commonwealth of Newfoundland: After the collapse of Canadian government, Governor Humphrey T. Walwyn establishes an emergency government in Saint John's. Reorganizing any remaining military units station on the Island into the Royal Newfoundland Army (which currently stands at 6,000 troops) which is then used to establish control over the rest of the Island and to control immigration from the mainland. With recent success in retaking control of the island, The Royal Newfoundland Army launches an offensive into Labrador to secure control of the area. A puppet government is also set up in the Maritimes (turn two of six). The Newfoundland government also begins investing in industry on the island, to lead towards self- sufficiency. The government also begins to research new tanks for the army, they being; the Walwyn Mk1 (a heavy tank based on the Churchill tank), the Amherst-1 (Similar to the Comet tank, but with more powerful engine and slightly thinner armour) and the Kangaroo armoured personnel carrier (same as OTL). The total population is around 400,000.
  • Indiana: Indiana continues to builds up its military. More roads are also built and infrastructure is improved. Plans for a better highway system continue to be planned. Elections are held, and M. Clifford Townsend is re-elected for President. The population is at 3,859,193.

A cruiser tank is planned for the military as well. The new aircraft will be completed next year.

1945[]

Race Riots break out in Southern California

Can you like, try to be a little more descriptive? Because I don't know really what I'm dealing with here (what race for example)

The ASA proposes the Conference of Harrisburg, hoping to open diplomatic channels with the other "Big 5" (Ohio, Cali, UoS, NAU, ASA)

The 1945 Texas Hurricane occurs; there are three deaths and $20.1mil in damages.

  • Hawaii: We continue to develop our military and industry. With our new found trade agreements with ontario and Sonora we begin sending shipments of fruit to the two respective nation. In exchange we receive cattle and industrial parts that help further our attempts to develop our industry. Currently a total of 13,000 men are in uniform for the Hawaiian Self-Defense Force. With his son having been born several years ago, President Moore declares that he will succeed him as president when he dies. We continue work on our new aircraft carrier and using a newly set up airplane factory (run by the government) we begin to build fighter planes off designs fro the former US Navy's Hellcat fighter.
    • Hawaiian Dip: We request a trade agreement with Ohio and Dakota.
  • Alaska: We begin negotiations with the Empire of Japan as a protectorate status.
  • Union of the South: We invade Colorado, sending in 35,000 people to secure the region. We also offer Georgia a strong alliance, and offer to let them join our glorious nation in the near future if they so please. We also begin to influence Florida.
  • Look at the mod events.
  • The Allied States continues to see economic growth following the end of the Pennsylvania war. The Military stands at a solid 115,000 men. Conclusion[]

The Conflict in the Dakota's quickly spirals out of control when ASA troops and California troops meet on the front lines. Distrust and Animosity quickly turns into an all out war between the two powers. The ASA achieves Victory, but could not destroy California. Texas, the Dakotas, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Idaho are all seized by ASA Troops. The ASA, seeking to gain an edge over California, consolidates its control over the eastern US.Eventually, the ASA takes control of all the states not occupied by California. DC is the last to fall, and on July 4th, 1962, the ASA declares it self The United States of America. THe Nation remains a shell of its former self, although the current government holds promise. In 1962, James Jette wins the US Election. Running with the promise to restore the prestige and glory of the United States, Jette seeks to fulfill this promise by spreading from Sea to Shining Sea once again. To do this, he will need Allies, and he sees the perfect one in Berlin. California finds an ally in Tokyo, and now North America Stands as a powder keg, ready to blow at any time...
