Here is the detailed guide to the war algorithm for the map game Revolution. The results of wars can also be found here.
The wars[]
- When a war is going on, battles will be fought. One big battle will happen in every turn on every front. The result of that battle will be calculated by this algorithm.
- The place of the battle (if not declared by any of the fighting players) will be randomly chosen by the mod who is calculating the algorithm.
- The winner of the battle conquers nearby lands.
- Naval battles may happen too; they are named after the seazone or a nearby port.
- The algorithms posted should always match the formatting of the examples shown below. War names must be 2nd level Headings.
- The side with more points wins. If the points are the same then the battle is inconclusive.
- The luck factor has to be calculated via random.org. You must randomise an x integer where
- 0 <= x <=1.
- If x=0, then the defender gets a point, if x=1 then the attacker.

Prussia didn't win the last battle; it lost a battle against one participant and won a battle against the other. Accordingly, no side should have a morale advantage.
It is the frontline that counts, and on the Saxon front, Prussia did win.
If you look at a map, the Saxon front is the same front Denmark is fighting on, because the only area where Danish and Prussian territory directly borders is directly north of Saxony. Last year, Prussia lost to a Danish army and beat a Saxon army in the same area. It shouldn't have a higher morale than these two armies when they combine.
